What's the word/rumors on when Vanessa Carlton's 3rd album will be released?

Will it be in 2006 or 2007?

G'day Chris. As far as we know, this year for sure (at least it better be!), but apart from speculation, we have no dates. There have been many posts on this topic, so have a browse, and you'll know as much as the rest of us. Sorry I/we don't have some more concrete information for you. However, when we do, it'll be posted right away. Don't worry about that! We're all dying to hear it!  :D

Probably becuase it's only the 5th month out of 12 so far, and that leaves 7 months to release it...

Exactly....and also, on February 24, she said that the majority of the album was done, and that she as working on Artwork. So therefore, she must be pretty close to being finished, if not completely finished right now.

Ooh, artwork... I'm excited!

Harmonium looked cool as well as sounding great! So did Be Not Nobody... I liked the back cover the best, that's such a cool photo- also, the b&w pic of her in the booklet with the orchestra, and she's sitting on the floor, barefoot

YAY all done but the artwork!:) thats heartening news, cos artwork shouldnt take too long right? i hope we get the new album out soon, cos i cant wait to hear it! :)

I dont think the problem is finishing the album. I am more worried about her record label lacking faith in her.
An artist can have a completed album and have to sit on it for awhile because the record label either doesnt have faith in it or the artist or is unwilling/unable to promote it properly.
I am praying her record label hasnt given up on her because that would be a bad situation.

Apparently so! It's taken No Doubt 5 years and you're complaining that Nessa's taken 15 months? =) I hope she'll switch labels. I know A&M is with Interscope, but Interscope seems to care a bit more (try miles and miles more) about their artists.

Frankly, it wouldn't matter to me if it takes No Doubt another 15 years to put out another album.  That's just not a big priority to me.  Vanessa Carlton is just completely another story.
