For "Be Not Nobody", Vanessa did a cover of the Rolling Stones' Paint It Black- which turned out darker and edgier than the original (in my opinion at least). For "Harmonium", Nessa recorded a U2 cover- and gave the classic song her own flavour. Also, as you all know, Nessa recorded a really cool, really different, delightfully melancholy version of the traditional favourite, Greensleeves- as well as other live tracks, her take on Time Is On My Side (more 'Stones!), also adding vocals to the Counting Crows' Joni Mitchell cover, etc.

SO, my point and question is:

If you could choose a song for Vanessa to cover for the upcoming release, what would it be?

Hmm...

I don't know about doing a cover, but I wouldn't mind her adding her vocals on to "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. And also, Nessa could add some more piano in it.

It'd be cool to her her cover a classic track, like something by The Beatles... just to show a different interpretation of the song, not to make it better... coz come on, it's The Beatles

Oh yeah, I totally agree. A Beatles song would be cool.

I think she should make a cover of Britney's Oopss I did it again.  It would be real good thing if she did it again and was as successful with her 3rd album as with BNN (at least).

Wow, I'd love to hear her cover Annie Lennox' Love Song for a Vampire.  I can almost hear it in my head now:
V + piano + orchestra + vampire love song = awesome!   :)

ew. vanessa should NOT cover alicia keys songs. that's just wrong. it's got to be older stuff...the beatles would be really left field for vanessa. i dunno. maybe 'satisfaction' by rolling stones?
