Oh my god...it is so depressing.  I'm glad I saw it, though.  I feel like it was really well done.  Even though we're not exactly sure what happened on that flight, I think it is more "real" to me now that I've seen this film...because, in a way, I was so far removed from 9/11, being in Tulsa & knowing nobody directly involved in the attacks.  

If you can handle it, you should see this film.

at the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday I saw:

The One Percent
Journey to the End of the Night
Lonely Hearts
Comeback Season



all really good films.  Look for Lonely Hearts to hit theaters later this year.  It stars John Travolta and James Gondolfini, both of whom I saw last night briefly, but unfortunately didn't get to meet.

Comeback Season was really good as well, possibly my second favorite...stars Ray Liotta.

The One Percent is a really good documentary directed by Jamie Johnson, the heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune.  The film is about the wealth gap in america...Johnson kind of makes his family look bad here, but by the end has somewhat of an understanding of his father...who was quiet and clearly not happy that his son was making this film...

Journey to the End of the Night stars Brendan Fraser, Catalina Sandina Moreno (HOTTTT!!!) and Scott Glenn...pretty good thriller

no, i didn't catch any of the music events...

over the weekend I watched True Romance: excellent excellent movie....and An American Haunting pretty good story...i had been waiting a while to see it...i wasn't really let down, couldve been better, but i was pleased with it.

Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible II and Mission: Impossible III

all three, right in a row.  Had seen the first a few times.  Great movie.  First time seeing part two, I enjoyed it, although John Woo used too many of his slow-motion action sequences...

and part 3...best of the series.  Phillip Seymore Hoffman was brilliant as the bad guy. What a GREAT actor!
