Nolita Fairytale-First single??

Ya i really dont think she is selling out considering the other five songs that we have heard that might possibly be on the album have stayed with her original sound.
I personally love this song.
The only thing i think is a little weird is how there is not chorus..

I was thinking the same thing.  Why not post this in the other thread?  There are going to be people who will not like this song because it is different.  Let's not freak out.  The album will be here in October.

okay, i was a bit hasty.  or, i didn't fully explain myself.  i know that we've heard some great stuff from the new album, i'm just somewhat annoyed that "nolita fairytale" has been chosen as the single - because i think it's a terrible representation of what vanessa is...and it's the song that's going to be getting all of the publicity.  that's what i meant by selling out - she's advertising her album with something more mainstream than any of the rest of her music.  okay, possible exception for ATM.

I actually really liked the dancing she did in the video for White Houses.  It was really cool to see her dancing like that.  Let's see what she comes up with this time.

She did that with Be Not Nobody and Harmonium too. The only two mainstream songs in BNN are "A Thousand Miles" and "Ordinary Day" (first and second single) and "White Houses" is one of the most mainstream songs in Harmonium.

Of the new songs the only one that I like more than "Nolita" is "Heroes and Thieves", I just melt every time that I listen to it, I can't wait to hear the studio version.

I also think "Nolita" can do well on radio, I doubt it will be as big as ATM but if it is big enough to put Vanessa back in the map I will be happy.

I always thought Vanessas music was a bit too mature for fairies. I'm thinking of her actually walking down a street, but my imagination sucks
