Nolita Fairytale-First single??

i LOVED the dancing WH! it was like nothing else on mtv

My thoughts exactly. I have a video already pre-conceived in my mind with Nessa dancing down a waterfall/stream, surounded by fairies, signing.

I always thought Vanessas music was a bit too mature for fairies. I'm thinking of her actually walking down a street, but my imagination sucks

I'd always imagined, Nessa would be wearing something like this in the video. She'll be dancing around this, surrounded with these, with maybe a little of mist

okay, i was a bit hasty.  or, i didn't fully explain myself.  i know that we've heard some great stuff from the new album, i'm just somewhat annoyed that "nolita fairytale" has been chosen as the single - because i think it's a terrible representation of what vanessa is...and it's the song that's going to be getting all of the publicity.  that's what i meant by selling out - she's advertising her album with something more mainstream than any of the rest of her music.  okay, possible exception for ATM.

well I mean she has to do that in a way or she wont get played on the radio thats the bad thing about today....if its not like how it is than you wont get played. its not completley horrible jeeze

I really hope she finds an awesome music video director for Nolita Fairytale. I was really disapointed with how Sophie Muller handled the video for White Houses, and Sophie Muller has directed a lot of really awesome videos, but when I watched White Houses I was kind of like, "Wtf."

Does anyone else feel the same way?

I think Marc Webb would be the perfect choice for Nolita Fairytale.

i think WH was her best video, it really showed off v and i think she really put heart into it. and i really DONT want to see her in a video looking plastic like everyone else

She should be walking around Nolita, wherever that is in NY. Imo she should put her dog in the video hehe. That'd be cool, but it might be boring if that's all she did. Maybe she can walk around different cities and boardwalks (near the ocean in one shot) but begin and end in Nolita, denoting that is her home or something. Idk. I thought she was all about San Francisco

It'd be fun to direct videos or at least come up with the story board!

I disagree. As a future filmmaker, I can honestly say the WH video was great. Sophie did a great job. The only part I didn't like was at the end where Vanessa looked like she messed up a move and fell. The part where Vanessa looks at her dancing self and then gets up and dancing Nessa lies on the piano is just pre magic.

My favorite part in the White Houses video was the end.

Starting with "I Lied, Wrote My Injuries All in The Dust." The end of the dance is MAGNIFICENT.
