I know what it is like to be referenced as the younger brother of Mike. I had friends who were always referenced by their older brothers instead of their own identity. It is as if your own identity is subject to someone else's. It's not a good feeling. It's as if you become more of a reference than a real person.
"Oh, that is Tylor, Mikes younger brother."
"That is Mike's younger brother"
"Oh, I'm sorry, you're Mike's younger brother, aren't you?"
People tend to use the reference rather than, "Oh hello Tylor. How are you today?"
It sucks when people are always referring to you or addressing you in the second person, rather than the first person, all the time.
