What’s the secret to wearing a plunging dress like that – double-sided tape?
Yeah, it’s really not working that great right now, but I’m trying.

Your new song “Nolita Fairytale,” what’s it about?
Well I live in Nolita, and I think I just the song is about me finding this anchor and not touring and taking myself out of that transient environment for a while, and kind of walking around the city and contemplating where I’m at. Lots of autobiographical lyrics about what I’ve been up to these last few years… I’m gonna go on tour in November with a violinist and a guitarist I think it should be cool.

You’re bag is so cute, and so little. What are the can’t-leave-home-without-‘em essentials that you managed to squeeze into that purse?
My license, my credit card, and my phone and blackberry…. Oh, and lip gloss!

a November tour means there will probably be dates announced soon.  Maybe when the website is back up.  Thanks for sharing!

Those shows will be awesome!!! i like how theyre having a semi-band but still keeping it very intimate/raw/acousticy, though a drummer thrown in there would be great.

Oh. I've always wished Vanessa to make an acoustic-but-not-just-piano-vocal tour.

COOOOOOOOOL!

Heres some more info on the article :

A True Lady in Red…
Vanessa Carlton is a class act. And she’s got serious talent. While the sweet songstress has been staying out of “the scene”, she’s making her big comeback with a new single, and a gorgeous look (check out that plunging neckline!)

eh, I think she looks healthy.

When I look at the picture, it reminds me of Fiona Apple.
