Armed with the new album, Carlton launches a two-year schedule of tours and promotions. Lorenzo insists she's under no pressure to produce sales immediately.

^ that's good to hear.

Seriously. We should be DELIGHTED that she's still managed to keep creativity a first priority, as opposed to sales. Irv will keep letting her make albums for a longgg time, which is what we want. Sales aren't everything.
Why don't you come on over? Stop making a fool out of me.

are you kidding? no he wont. the industry is a business more than anything. if vanessa isn't bringing money in for Irv, why should he keep her there? he couldn't afford to keep paying out for recording, producing, distribution, promotion, etc with V not bringing anything back in for him.

that wasn't what i was getting at anyway. i want V to get the recognition & success she deserves. which is why this two year push should hopefully allow that to happen, if handled properley.

The only problem I have with a two-year push is this: we won't have another album for two years. S'okay. If a longer wait means better music, I don't mind a bit.
