That is not always the case grakthis. I think we know now part of the problem is the laid off seasonal firefighters.
More fire fighers would have just delayed the problem.
We can't do the controlled burning that is neccesary because people put their houses there.
Can you immagine how many fire fighters you'd need to clear the brush out and move it far enough away from the houses so that you could safely burn it?
It's just not feasible.
As long as people keep building towards the areas where these fires occur, they will keep burning further and further into the cities.
This trail of houses going from the brushlands into the cities is like a gigantic WICK leading straight to downtown LA.
More fire fighters would just delay the problem.
The problem is human arrogance.
