I think her twitter page (http://www.twitter.com/vanessacarlton) is back up... But once again *sigh* I don't think it's her doing the tweeting...

EDIT: Ow and now the cameo's the background on her page. So maybe some sign that she/her management is out to contact us.

I'm pretty sure it's her as Twitter suspended it.. They do that if they are not sure if it's really the famous person. I'd imagine to unsuspend it they would have had confirmation it's her? Plus the proper background.. though it's not hard to fake. Someone needs to ask her at a show

Off late I've been seeing "Verified Account" on twitter pages of celebs... She should probably get that done...

Well when we saw her last week she said that she was going to be online more which makes the timing of this interesting. With a suspended account, she could have gotten her name back but I think that Twitter would have verified the account. Or since her official boards were cleaned up, put a link on her website, myspace, etc.

I doubt it is her managing that twitter account. Not only she is an "anti-tech-let's-write-letters-like the-old-days" kind of person  but the writing itself doesn't seem like hers ...and... I doubt she would go for the purple stars background design  . It's one of the ugliest templates on twitter ...
She would probably want to keep the same visual identity as the one on her website/album/myspace/etc...

I agree. I don't think it's her. She doesn't strike me as the Twitter type. Even so, she'd probably post something about her Twitter on MySpace? I don't know.

I've heard her mention multiple times that she prefers the written letter instead of e-mail/text/internet etc....well wouldn't it be a good idea for her to have a fanmail address? JUST SAYIN'!
