That's exactly how I felt for H&T after I heard Home.

I can't wait for her next CD. I'd like to hear the studio version of London and Waltz. I hope they're as good as they are live. I hope she doesn't ruin it. I felt like she ruined 'H&T.' The song not the album.

The only thing that was done to H&T was that she added strings and drums. There are strings and drums in almost all of her songs. I guess that means you hate those ones too.

I felt as though the strings (which I think is a Bass, not sure) and drums made the song seem heavier - in a sense. I just prefer the piano/vocals version. I like the lightness of it.

Don't get me wrong. I like a lot of her songs. Why else would I follow her and own her 3 CD's?

No doubt, her production team ruined her entire H&T album, the crappy string arrangement, and the poppy percussion was horrid. Her live performances were brilliants, but i was soo disappointed to hear the final album versions.

If i would have a chance to name her album, it would be "irrevocable devotion", as she never forgot who she was and stuck to what she was believed in.

Not sure I quite agree with this.

I do feel that the production was a tad OTT on most of the album ("Fools Like Me" was ruined), but I think songs like "My Best" & "More Than This" use the strings, percussion, etc really well.

I said this in another thread; V needs to go back to doing 'Harmonium' type stuff. I don't know what she was thinking with 'H&T'.

H&T wasn't bad...I think we have all just come to LOVE Vanessa accoustically at shows...and we got used too it....and then the album had of course a band and tons of contributing muscians.....I think in a whole the album was great....I think it's cool to hear a song two different ways...glam-o-fied on disc, and raw live.  I don't see why everyone is slamming the album...although I do have to agree that Harmonium is my favorite record so far...I can hardly even listen to BNN anymore with the exception of Unsung & Wanted.

H&T wasn't bad. I just felt the studio version of the song was... not what I had hoped after I heard the original acoustic. I hope she keeps it a little raw. I don't mind it when they "pop" a song a little. I like some of the studio version on H&T (Home, More Than This, My Best). -nods- Some songs were just ruined though.

Didn't she only say that she was writing music? Writing often happen ages before recording. Or did I miss something? Although I read her myspace posts ages ago I can't remember that she actually explicitely said she'd record and release a new album. Maybe I gotta check those posts again.
