"fortune" = money = "Moneymaker" perhaps?

i know it wasn't on the suspected tracklisting, but that doesn't stop her from using the song.

That's what I was thinking!!  Maybe this song is Moneymaker, but with a different name?

I hear "Fortune still hurt."

I'm already in love with it! Do you think it's "Hear the Bells"?

Yeah, i thought the same, hear the bells fits :D

boots on concrete...

The line Boots on concrete sounds more fitting to me in the song The Marching Line.

And the instrumental being mixed by the end of the video just sounds like this:

True, the marching line one scape my eyes : )

Does anyone get any more lyrics?

I'm totally thinking The Marching Line after the "boots on concrete" line. GAHHHH, I CAN'T WAIT TO BUY RABBITS ON THE RUN AND HEAR ALL THESE MYSTERIOUS NEW SONGS!!!
I have a really cool The Fray gif that I would like to put here, but I don't know how. :(

The next lyrics we know of is the Fortune teller, fortune still hurt/heard.

Does anybody else think her voice sounds much different?  When I heard the first song in the beginning, I thought, "Why're they playing some other person's song in Vanessa's video?"  I guess it's actually her?  Is she just using more head voice than chest voice?

But in the IDWBB clip, it sounded pretty much like the Vanessa I know (which, btw, was absolutely gorgeous).  Hmmmm.

Yeah, she's definitely experimenting with her voice on this album. Which I personally think is awesome.

The version of ATM from Sunset Sessions sounds just like the performance in 2000/2001 when she recorded in a supermarket? I'll try and find the file (I have millions) and put it up, but she's sounding just like did 11 years ago. Who else can do that?! Personally it's a more stipped down, effortless, sweet, yet emotion driven voice. Beautiful. But when hasn't her voice been beautiful?
Thanks, James.

I agree. What she did in H&T era was to make her voice sound older and huskier in a way. But in ROTR, it sounds like she's making it sound dreamy and young.

I think she sounded awful in the early days. There were times when she sounded like a cat being stepped on. It was all nasal.

She started improving at the end of 'Harmonium' and her vocals were MUCH better during 'H&T'. Her vocals sound even better now! I wonder if she's been taking lessons or if this is just a natural progression.

I think it's natural progression.

And yes, I do agree with how she sounds pretty awful in the early days. There were times that she doesn't sound so good. But if we hear from her now, you could definitely say that the change is tangible.

The change is excellent. Her voice seems so much richer and controlled. She should take some lessons because I don't think she realises the potential she has with it.
