HOLY SHIT!
That was my first thought, sorry for the swearing.  Then I thought, it sounds different than what I expected (but similar in sound to the song on the website video).  Then I thought, actually, it's exactly what I wanted!!! Stripped, just Vanessa, no extra, hardly any percussion; her voice and the piano are the dominant instruments heard!  The artwork IS black and white (well, off white?) like I had expected, but I thought black background, white script.  That picture is gorgeous.  I agree with who ever said they want to frame it, it would look perfect in my office!  I also agree with Kulp that the background vocals don't seem to be Stevie.  My first thought was that it was just Vanessa....and gorgeous.  Just wonderful.  I am so happy for her.

agreed.  That sound I don't know how to describe and that is similar to the song on the website video I thought was just for that song, but it seems like it might be of them.  Maybe that is the effect that recording on analogue has?

well, since the announcement of the May 3rd release date, which is super soon...
it's well known that amazon.com releases clips of songs before they release... so...
lots of refreshing and bam!

Omg this took me completely by surprise! I'd got it into my head that we wouldn't hear it at all until the 3rd - no previews, no nothing... so this is such a pleasant surprise.
The song itself... I love it! I had prepared myself for the fact that it may have been overproduced in the studio (like, in my opinion, has happened before). I loved the live version of Carousel so much, and I was skeptical I'd be as in-love with the studio version.
But it's turned out to be... perfect. It's beautiful. It's just perfect.
Can't wait for the full version!

And the artwork... was kinda hoping they'd use a photo from current photoshoot. They've all be stunning so far. But I'm sure this'll grow on me.

Song and artwork combined, I love how organic and "true" this single is to the real Vanessa.

Does anyone think that the single will be physically released? Or is this digital release all we're going to get? I personally love collecting all the physical cds!

I need to hear the complete track. But as for now I'm quite disappointed. I was expecting less backing vocals and a lot of single voice of V. And less instruments. I hope the snippet isn't really presenting the whole song composition.

And as she said.... It really DOES have a dream like feel to it doesn't it? The harmonizing is wow... And I'd agree with whoever said it but yeah... It isn't Stevie or anyone else... She's doing it with herself (that's what she said ).

Although you have to admit it's a lot more V than we got on H&T and Harmonium.. (for the most part)
The sound surprised me at first and I it did take me a second listen to be totally into it.  I must admit..

Vanessa has done it again!!! She's so incredible and I admire and love the fact that this is the kinda song she, and by she i mean the label, send to radio. They totally get her and she does whatever is close to her heart. Guys, this is 2011's best single can not wait til the album drops, its gonna be so magical. Oh and my birthday is may 6th too! Kinda crazy, isn't it?
