Omg… Viviana and I had such an amazing time!! Pepsi Smash kicked @ss!! It was even better than I thought it would be!
We got to the parking garage where we were supposed to meet at around 6:00, they had 5 different lines to stand in depending which band you were there to see. Of course we picked Evanescence!! I gave the guy my ID and he was like… “you’re not on the list” and my heart like dropped… the he said “how did you get tickets?” I said through kiis fm and he said “oh, then you’re probably on another list! Hold on, it’s coming!”. We ended up being in the blue group (the separate the fans into different color groups. We took a bus to the studio and though we were kinda lost at first we finally found the blue section we were supposed to wait in. The Ataris were doing their soundcheck and we could hear “The Boys Of Summer” from where we were standing, but we were outside the building so we couldn’t see anything. They then let Viv and I ask a question that may be aired on the TV show! I hope it is! We originally asked it for Evanescence, but they said it may be used for the Black Eyed Peas. I said “I’d prefer Evanescence, but either would be good!” our question was “What’s the craziest thing a fan has done at a concert?”. Our group leader, Stacy, told us that we had the best seats in the place because we were going to be behind the stage and get on camera a lot! I still think the floor woulda been best… but we still had great seats! We were the first group let into the studio and took our seats in our section, we sat like 4 rows back from behind the stage.
This guy named Mario came out at first to get us hyped up! He said many times that our section was the best! Cause we were the loudest and most energetic! Heck yeah we were! Stacy’s section rocks!!
The hosts of the show were the stars of Everwood! The guy, Gregory I think, is really hot! Hehe.
The Ataris were the first ones out… they opened with “The Boys Of Summer” and then did “In This Diary”. Omg they were awesome!!! I would defiantly want to see them in concert again! And the lead singer is hot! Lol, right Viv? *wink*
The next out were The Black Eyed Peas! And ofcourse they rocked! I saw them last month and loved them and they were even better this time!! They did “Where Is The Love” and “Anxiety”. A cool part was when Papa Roach came out and did Anxiety with them! That song rocks! And I like papa roach so that was awesome that they came as a surprise! Before the concert started I noticed that the equipment on stage all said “Papa Roach” on it… and I was wondering why, but that answered my question! The sound wasn’t good enough on Anxiety the first time, so they had to do it again, which was fine by me!
Then I turned around and saw Ben Moody like 5-8 rows back in our section! I got excited and wondered what he was doing back there! I kept wanting to see one of the band members because I knew I wouldn’t totally believe that I was gonna see Evanescence till I did see one of them… then when I saw him it hit me and I got even more excited!
The next out was Monica! She did good, I think she’s a awesome girl and a great performer, but I don’t like her song, “So Gone” (which was the only song she did).
Gavin DeGraw was next! He was good and very cute! I didn’t know he was a piano player! But he did a great job live and I think I’m gonna get his CD! But I wasn’t totally into his set cause I knew Evanescence was next and I just wanted to see them! Lol. Gavin sang “Follow Through” and “Chariot”
At the end of Gavin DeGraw there was a lil break to get ready for Evanescence (there are breaks between all the sets, but this one was special). Ben Moody and Amy Lee were in the back of our section again! This time for a interview with the Everwood girl. I looked back at Ben and waved and smiled at him and he looked at me and waved and smiled back! That was like the highlight of the night! He seems really nice!
The Evanescence came out on stage! They were BY FAR the best performers of the night! When they came out I kept trying to get Amy’s attention, she was only like 10-15 feet away from where we were sitting, but it was loud so this was hard. The girl next to me was like “let’s scream together!” so we did and it worked! She turned around and waved at us and did a lil spin and a curtsey, lol. I also tried yelling for John and Rocky, but it didn’t work. They sang “Going Under” and “Bring Me To Life”! it was expected that they’d sing those 2! They did such an amazing job… there are no words for it!
Then The Ataris came back out again, which was a pleasant surprise! They sang “In This Diary” again along with “Your Boyfriend Sucks” and “Teenage Riot”! during “In This Diary” a lot of the audience jumped up on stage and like mobbed the band, someone stole a microphone in the process and this guy said the band wouldn’t sing until they got it back, and so they did and the band went on. The audience also jumped onstage at the end of “Teenage Riot”.
Then there was an announcement that Evanescence would be coming back out again to do one more song as well! I freaked out! Lol, I was so happy! They did “Haunted” and it rocked!!! Amy said the show was turning out better than she tought, she liked that it seemed more like a real show than a TV taping! Since Amy’s got awesome style… I’ve got to comment on her outfit, she wore I think silver dickies, a pink shirt with a black and pink pull over and had her hair in a pony tail. And she had awesome eye makeup… red eye shadow which kinda dripped down over her eyes!
We were the last section to be dismissed. Lol, we were the first ones in and the last ones out so we got to stay the longest which was cool. Then we took a bus back to where Viv’s car was and drove home. We almost got lost, but we made it!
Sooo… that was my very long review!! Lol. I had an amazing time! Look for me and Viv when it airs! I was wearing a black tank top, and have blonde hair (I wore it down), and a white skirt. I think it’ll air next Wednesday on the WB at 9pm!
oh... and we weren't allowed to bring cameras so no pics!
