The recording is AWESOME, by the way, was it Steve who recorded it?? Because it's the best live recording I've heard out of her, I think. Even her voice sounds beautiful.

no, wasnt Steve, it was a friend of mine that doesnt post on message boards.

Well props to him, then :D
*natalie*

Here I lie awake
And more than blood runs though these veins
These veins
It's just a case of morning sting
Well, take this idle mind
And fill it what you will
You search, you'll find
A fatal case of morning sting

Well, watch him as he goes
Living in a golden afternoon
That I'll never know

Burn me, give me praise
Whatever is convienent to arrange
Oh, bring it to me on a string
While coveting a remedy
That only love can bring
But my disease is just a case of morning sting

Well, watch him as he goes
Living in a golden afternoon
That I'll never know

Picture perfect
She'll follow his icy politic
Can't cut a girl

And brrrr
Cover me now
I'm bare in these dirty sheets
Gotta get out
Get out
And find me some peace
It's just a case of
It's just a case of
It's just a case of...
Oh, Ah...
Oh
Oh, Ah...
Morning Sting

<3
I'm pretty sure i'm like around 90-100% correct
but no way to tell for sure

The more I listen, the more I think it is "diseases", then "just a case of morning sting" instead of "it's just a case..."  :?

Makes a bit more sense, lol. It sounds right if you break it down in to form because you'd split it: but my disease is / just a case of morning sting...

that works

i think that's right too. the reason i couldn't decide is because 'diseases' doesn't seem to fit the form of the song, but i can't hear a "t" anywhere in it, so 'disease...it' coudln't have been right either. "my disease is" sounds good to me. makes sense

Lol I think steve was bummed, since he recorded it too, but whoever made this recording beat him with putting it on the net.

Vanessa played Morning Sting at the Savannah show, and to me, the lyrics sounded a lot clearer and it sounded like she was saying "Well, my disease, it's just a case of morning sting" and instead of "And brrr," I'm almost positive it's "Can't cut a girl and burn"

Also, in the booklet for Harmonium, some of the lyrics for Who's to Say (it's written as 'who's to say i can't live without you) Annie (if i drank too much and i am wreckless, just this once would you forgive this, i hold onto days gone by) Private Radio (when the night comes, i can hear it.... catch me not, can't call me later) C'est la Vie (here in my lonely) She Floats (got not secrets though i'm told)
There might be more, I hope I helped....

Private Radio:
"A solitude lives in my head, from you, Baby"
"Find me out of my pillow"

Winter:
"I'm a child of the pleasure
That he brings before he runs"
"I carry all the weight of empty promise"

Annie:
"And you're so fine, girl,
The way you stand up to your fears"

Who's to say:
"They tell us slow down"
"Well, speed's the key"
"We're not welcome, soon we'll be driving"

Okay, I think that's everything that it said in the book that was different than we'd thought.
