for BnN, they're all correct.

Live & Demos are by ear, so cant be garenteed.

I manage the lyrics so if you have some changes, either post in this thread or PM me, if I think its a toss up, I confir with some friends and we hammer out a final product.

OK
 :D

And I can't keep chasing you through the zone--
Carnival -- but the sun shines -- through.

And I can't keep chasing you through this old
Carnival where the sun shines  through.

God knows secrets that I told
God knows secrets though I'm told

dark carnival
on like the first thingy you have
That's a sweet alibi
then on the rest you have
not a sweet alibi

im not going to bother with the "And" and "I"'s
thats it for now
:-\

Agreed.
I was thinking it was "though I'm told" as well.

Heres my big yellow taxi..
lol
you dont have to put those "hey now" and "now"'s before the "they paved paridise" if you wanna

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot,
With a pink hotel, a boutique,
And a swinging hot spot.

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

VC: ooo bop bop bop. lalalala

They took all the trees and put them in a tree museum.
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half to see 'em.

now Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

VC: ooo bop bop bop.   ooo bop bop bop.

Hey, farmer, farmer, put away your D.D.T.
I don't care about spots on my apples
leave me the birds and the bees, please!

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
hey now They paved paradise to put up a parking lot.

VC: ooo bop bop bop. ooo bop bop bop.

listen(ing)-(late) [its either "listen late last night" or "listening last night"]
last night I heard the screen door slam.
And a big yellow taxi took my girl away.

now Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

hey now now Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it's gone?
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
now They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
Hey hey
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

VC: ooo bop bop bop. ooo bop bop bop.

I don't wanna give it.
Why'd you wanna give it
Why'd you wanna give it all away
hey hey hey
(VC background)
I don't wanna give it.
Why'd you wanna give it
Why'd you wanna give it all away
I don't wanna give it.
Why'd you wanna give it
Why'd you wanna give it all away
girl, your Givin' it all, givin' it all away

VC: Why you want to... Why do she want to?

Cause she's givin it all away.
hey hey hey

VC: lalalalala

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

lalalala

"Mother may I lay my head down
What would you say?
If all thats lost may never be found
It's gone away
"
you say
"Mother may I lay my head down
What would you say?
If all thats lost 'will' never be found
It's gone away "

and i think its still
If all thats lost may never be found

interlude(demo) :?

Makin' my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces pass
And I'm home bound

Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making a way
Through the crowd

And I'll need you
And I'll miss you
And now I wonder...

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could(can?) just see you
Tonight

It's always times like these
When I think of you
And I wonder
If you ever
Think of me

'Cause everything's so wrong
And I don't belong
Living in your
Precious memory

'Cause I'll need you
And I'll miss you
And now I wonder...

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
oh 'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could(can?) just see you
Tonight

And I, I
Wish I could let you know
I, I
Drown in your memory
I, I
Don't wanna let this go
I, I
Don't know...

Just making my way downtown
(I'm?)Walking fast
(the?)Faces pass
And I'm home bound

Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making a way
Through this crowd

And I'll still need you
And I'll still miss you
And now I wonder....

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass us by

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
oh 'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could(can?)
Just see you...
If I could(can?)
Just hold you
Tonight

I think it's "Listen, Like, it's UNDERSTOOD. (You) Listen, late last night I heard the screen door slam . . . "

"And the Big Yellow Taxi took my girl away . . ." - Counting Crows
"And a Big Yellow Taxi took away my old man . . ." - Joni Mitchell

Anyway, it wouldn't be a regular post of mine if I didn't mention Grammar, so . . .

i think counting crows say screen door sway and a big yellow taxi took my girl away...

not slam, the slam is in joni mitchell's version (i like that one the best...the ending is great lol)...

and i think it is listen late last night...

I'm pretty sure the Crows still say "Slam"
