Oh and i nikkee: i just realised if i take my i am doubtful that it will actually work, because you need a Tri-Band phone and mine is well...not. What i would techinically have to do if i phoned you is phone england and then phone you, which is why it wouldn't work- hmm we can still try?

and DAMN YOU TRICIA! 2005 will be cool, i will've finished sixth form college and be going to university! *gasp* That is so weird!

At the Mmmmmraz concert there were these two american girls and they were right next to me (they were such sweetheearts to me, we shouted out songs for him to play together!) and they were like 'omg, and omg Paris is like soooo expensive, like $4 dollars for a sandwich on the street!' and the other girl was like 'oh heellll no'. ah chuckles.

Oh and can you give me any reccommendations for shops!? Because i am completely clueless about where i would find those shops. thanks so much!

ummm not personally because the only times i've been in NYC were for school trips and we didn't have time to look around and shop, but i can ask one of my friends that goes there every year just to visit. she always comes back with cool clothes! for our school trips we usually go to manhatten, and i've seen a lot of tourist-y kind of shops, so unless that's the kind of stuff you're looking for i can only say don't go there.  :)

lol the last time i was in NYC we were in Rockefeller center and we had 10 minutes to shop, so as a joke we decided to go into SAKS. we went upstairs to look at the clothes, and the looks we got from the workers.....and there was this 'dress', that was more like a small piece of see-through fabric, for 1100$. it was quite interesting

Ooh yes, expensive stuff- just the kind i love! One of my life ambitions is to own a piece of Marc Jacobs clothing- i got a powder puff at the weekend from a lady we know who works at british Vogue but i think that is all i may ever own!!

Do you recommend Bloomingdales and Macy's? Cos i heard they are pretty boring department stores...

MACY'S! BLOOMINGDALES! just the mention of their names gets me excited.....if you lived in NYC or a town where those stores are then you probably wouldn't get too excited, but to the small-town folk like me those stores are the best! theres SO much to buy there. I'm not sure how expensive they would be. I've been to a Macy's in Connecticut before, and i didn't think it was too expensive. and despite what the nay-sayers say, i would stop by Old Navy as well. I was there yesterday and they just got in a new fall-line that's really really cool.

You think? A lady we know in conneticuit told me they were the equivalent of Debenhams and Selfridges here, and those are pretty dreary- is Bloomingdales the more expensive one? Because Selfridges is the more expensive one here and far better.

Any recommendations for more shops? Chain or not, i don't mind!!!

I'd say that they're about the same. Old Navy is much cheaper. i think they're fun just because there's so much to look at and try on.... :)
