Vanessa is not supportive of boots, hates having her songs released (even the
lyrics) before the "time" so it is probably respectful to wait till SF is on the CD

Afterglow

Ameriteen

Birdie

C'est La Vie

Papa

She Floats

 If any of these are on Harmonium there's been no waiting respectfully :P

I was thinking that too, Aaron. But then I realized that VC has actually played them at quite a few concerts - so they're not as exclusive

Yup. I think it's a good idea to have a few surprises. Regardless of how long we have to wait for 'em...

maybe she never said "the buzz of a city"

..... any lyrics posted in this thread could be, and probally are incorrect.  Songs go through changes during recording them. many of Vanessa's songs had lyric changes over time. this song could be one of them.

we won't know the correct and final lyrics to her songs, until she prints out lyrics for them.

you people need to be more paticient.  songs will come. just wait.. read some books or play more video games.. do something to pass the wait time.

But still, sharing the lyrics is unnecessary and just not very kind for those of us who do not have the song.

It's kind of like "hey look what I have that's really cool and you can't have it neener neener neener".

No one likes that.

Now I'm jealous. grrrrr

Amen.

Oh do I love this song! :D

But coming across the lyrics, Vanessa sings,
"I always liked Steinbeck and those old men whispering."

In school, I am reading a book called "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck. Could this possibly be the same person?

I assumed that Steinbeck she refers to is the famous author.  I don't really get the old men whispering thing though... something from a book?  movie?  Does anybody understand that reference?
