Excellent Ty!
I know you'll love it!
I think "My Last Breath" has become my favorite from Fallen.

I'm listening to it, perhaps, to an unheathy extent.

Haha, nice one Ty.

Haunted and Hello have remained my faves off the CD since the day I heard it.

I was just listening to their old stuff again. Man, understanding is an amazing track! Then I started listening to solitude and it really reminded me of the times when I'd just heard about Ev :) heh, they've certainly come a long way since the time they were just Kev's highly recommended little known band.

So this, the 500th reply in the Ev thread is dedicated to The Vulture. Thanks for the hook up dude 8)

It wasn't one of my favs, until i figured out what it meant... THEN i was like "whoa!"  Now i can't even listen to it, it's like "You" to me almost... it comes on and i have to change it, it just feels to personal :(

Truth. Popularity has it's up and down sides for sure (mainly down), but they certainly deserve the success more than most chart music. It's better to be hearing BMTL every 5 minutes than the latest hit single from some guy who just finished 9th in pop-idol!

I've never given proper attention to the lyrics really. What's is it about?

I think it's how Amy was feeling after she lost her sister at the age of 6 and how she didn't realize at first that her sister was dead and everyone was trying to help her.

Plus this comment on the original o-board from "Xian Pu" just furthered that thought.  The assumption was this was her dad.

"Hello" kills me so bad that I have NEVER heard the whole song. Someday...when no one is around...I'll sit alone and listen to all of it and probably break down into a ball of mush. But, I have to really be ready for it. It brings up a very sad, deep loss for me (that I know Amy has had, too) and it slices my heart. Oddly, it's my favorite. I'm too weird, I guess.

Hello Lyrics
playground school bell rings again
rain clouds come to play again
has no one told you she's not breathing?
hello i'm your mind giving you someone to talk to
hello

if i smile and don't believe
soon i know i'll wake from this dream
don't try to fix me i'm not broken
hello i'm the lie living for you so you can hide
don't cry

suddenly i know i'm not sleeping
hello i'm still here
all that's left of yesterday

I just yesterday started listening to some of their slow songs. I've changed my opinion of them. I really like some of their slow songs like My Immortal and You and Exodus. Their piano songs are very Vanessa. I guess something about a chick playing a piano is something I can't resist since I like Vanessa, Norah, and their piano songs. LOL

I wouldn't call myself a fan but I can't say I don't like their music either. I'm a fan of selected songs. Thanks to Venti and Kev for suggesting certain songs.

:( Yeah that does make sense.

I think Amy's sister confirmed that xiam pu was her dad on the o-board.

I'm sure you understand the significance of "You" and how the band doesn't wish for people to download or listen to it, or more importantly spread it.  It isn't an Evanescence song but instead an Amy Lee song written only for family and friends that was leaked to the public when it shouldn't have been.  It does upset them that people have it and out of respect I choose not to listen to it or share it.  Just thought i'd let you know
