I have good news to report: The Town Car is fixed and I now have a copy of 'The Open Door', which I can say is an amazing album. There are so many great tracks on it, and I don't think I could ever get tired of listening to Amy Lee. She could literally sing the weekly Home Depot ad to me and I'd listen, but that's neither here nor there. I love getting behind these songs and finding out where they come from and what they're about. The way she describes it, it makes 'The Open Door' seem like the perfect resolution to 'Fallen'. All I can say to anyone who damns it for being different is that Amy's apparently been through a lot of drama over the past several years, and this album represents a lot of undergoing and overcoming on her part. It's not just some words and melodies that were made up by someone, but rather a lot of real life and emotion, both good and and bad. I have nothing but praise for the fact that there are a couple of feel-good songs on this album because now I know what they signify.
