1) paint your wagon -clint eastwood was in the movie version !!
2) joseph and the technicolor dream coat -saw it live and loved it, donny was "ill" so i saw huis understudy, but did not care for the movie version...that woman had no vocal range.

But I also like Fiddler on the Roof and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I love Fiddler on the Roof! It's my all-time favorite movie. I think it helped me realize why the Jewish half of my family is so weird   "You may ask where all this tradition comes from. Well, I'll tell you...I have no idea."

lol

and nightmare rocks!!!

Oh I just adore everything about musicals! How you get the songs in your head, and you wanna be in them! lol.

My favourites are: West side Story and My fair lady (typically Enlgish and beautiful!)

I've played the violin in both of them so I guess it's a little biased but I do adore them, and they were so wonderful to be in! Not to mention that in west side story our guy who played Tony in the upper sixth was gorgeous!!! hehehe.

xoxoxoxo

AWww. I totally forgot about West Side Story... "Somewhere" gives me chills everytime I hear it.. I was just thinkin (yesterday, actually) that I don't own the soundtrack and I need to get it asap.

hahaha.. and I know whatcha mean about getting attached.. I played viola for Anything Goes.. and I heard that music for SOO long that I began to enjoy it.

Oh 'Anything goes' I heard that is great!!! And you play viola? I don;'t hear many say that, that's great! I also play, because as you get more into music, you're more valued as there are just so few violasinists! hehe. And somewhere is so beautiful!! It's one of my favourites songs from a musical!

xoxox

Thank so much for the sig Scotty!! <3 It's gorgeous!

So far I've seen Aida, Cats, Les Miserables, and Phantom of the Opera. I liked Aida the best, even though Phantom made me cry! I'm going to see Beauty and Beast in April with my choir, i'm hoping it will be good!

I am sooooo loving the Aida soundtrack, like, RIGHT NOW.

hehehe

:? I really want to see Wicked; I read the book (though of course the musical isn't much like it, from what I've read)...but it isn't on the West Coast yet...a good friend of mine saw it in NY, though, and said she really liked it...

The tour rehearsals start in January.  Toronto is the first show.

And Lion King was amazing - too bad Simba killed himself, he had a great voice.
