well, I used to eat nothing but diet coke and apples.
So I think my body is just thanking me for actually putting something in it now. I still need to fight my new found laziness and work out more.

Sowwy Nicole. Good luck, you can do it!!

I know i go on about it, but i just actually couldn't believe the size of the portions there- it was just absoloutely mad. Like why would you want that much to eat!?

Anyway, i have weened myself completely off fizzy drinks and junk food (well almost the junk food!)- and now i drink only water, and i feel much better for it. I get really tired and i find that stopping junk food and fizzy drinks has really helped. I also east celery when i want junk food cos it has the same crunch you want from that craaap.

I eat the hell out of some carrots and frozen grapes these days.  Those are my Junk foods.

And I drink a LOT of iced tea.

the hardest part about atkins for me is the no fruit juice and almost no fruit (other than strawberries) --- i only drank juice before - it's the most painful part -

but crystal light isn't that bad --- the strawberry kiwi is the best - too bad the grocery store i go to stopped carrying it - URGH!

I love the atkins candy - low carb russell stovers - it is so yummy - i think yummier than real candy --- however the rest of the brands taste like garbage....

the ice creams aren't bad - just stay away from "le carb" - yuck...

the atkins muffin mix isnt bad at all - just be aware it has 8 carbs per muffin ... and i am on 20 carbs a day so thats a lot for one little muffin...

i guess thats all i have to say now -

aren't the atkins muffins really expensive?

I like the carb counting arnold bread...I think that's better than regular bread...I like peanut butter on it...lol

the atkins bagels made me ill --- and i heard that other people have gotten upset stomachs from them too

the muffin mix was a pass down from a friend that went off atkins - i am not sure how much they are - but pretty sure they aren't eight dollars

the atkins brand ice cream bars are yummy the vanilla and fudge ones are my fave -- i also love carb smart strawberry ice cream and carb smart fudge bars .... the bars are better than the cartons because you know the exact amount of the portion you are eating and dont have to measure anything

Both of my bosses are on Southbeach. Its like a toned down version of atkins. you can have some carbs after the first two weeks, and it stresses healthier meats and fats. My bosses are physical therapists and very knowledgeable in physiology so I respect their opinion when they say its a good system. It worked for them.

However, I personally am sick of hearing about how evil carbs are. I looooooooooove carbs! They are my friends.

Woot! another carb lover! I live in an italian family, so it's either pasta or chicken with pasta every other night. I can't escape 'em! I don't handle carbs that well though, so i'm trying to work out more.

And i'm with Rosie, no soda for me :-P I've never liked it though. My big problem is not eating the chips...just too hard!

Thank you Shell!  I plan on stayin on Induction for longer than 2 weeks because that is when you lose more weight and these past 2 weeks have been fine.  I wonder how long I can go without eating any of the major carbs like bread, rice or pasta?  Any bets? lol
