because they're opening so many stores so quick (2-3 a day) they fear they may run out of high quality beans!
haha... craziness!

Nooooooooooo!!

I have a huge bag of their beans in the freezer. And a bag of their espresso beans for my lattes.

I am sure everything will be ok. Or I think the rise in crime will go up. I know what I am like when I don't have mine for even two days.

i hate starbucks and all these massive coffe places.

i use them loads but they need to improve by getting english speaking staff. who are not rude. evian water not some water that looks like it was filled up in a bath.

unhealthy food. all like rhy bread or some crap. why whats wrong with white bread or normal brown bread?! ffs stop trying to be so damn fancy.

and bring more of those custard cake things in. they are nice.

My friend used to work for Starbucks and she said there were these stupid manuals advising them on EXACTLY how to relate to customers and make coffee, etc. She said they were awful and that Starbucks is like a disease of civilised countries!

I would have to agree...piss off starbucks!

one of Seattle most notorious bastard children.
Their headquarters are just south of downtown, not as impressive as you might think for such a big company.

I've heard lots about this.  Unless you're really weird acting like me   , you should be able to just be yourself and relate to the customers naturally.  I hate when companies want people to act all fake and do their work with reference to north-south orientation so it looks orgainzed while the management mismanages everything and smokes pot out the back door.....and then pays it's employees barely enough to get by.

Edit:  Actaully, that is not a fair depiction of starbucks, more corporate fast food.  There really should be charities which are aimed at people who work in the fast food business.  The adults who work there for at least 6 months to a year....or more sad to say...  I mean they are willing to work......they should be given assessments, including psychological ones..and help in that respect......

I went to the very first one there in Seattle. They still have the logo where the breasts aren't covered. If I remember correctly.

Lol. Another score for political incorrectness! 8)

It's weird...I keep on hearing about "Starbucks taking over," "Starbucks controlling your mind," "Starbucks is the Matrix...there is no spoon," Starbucks this, that, blah blah blah. And yet, I don't really see them any more often than I see any other large franchise of some sort...

*shakes fist*

I've been drinkin coffee since you were in diapers, little girl.  Starbucks rules.

i thought starbucks ruled when the only place I could get it was Barns and Noble.

The only coffee I MIGHT like more than Starbucks for pure black caffeine goodness is Hiene Brothers... and I think they are local to Louisville.
