I had Geometry first, but I think I'd rather have had Algebra 2 first!

I think Geometry should in fact come first.

I'm in Alg 3-4 (or Alg. 2) and in order to understand it you have to have gone through Geometry (in my opinion) because you use similar formula's and you do things that are also similar except it is more complicated.

Math sucks and is totally unnecessary.

I'm in a terrible mood; but it's definitely been twenty-eight days, so, you can't blame me.

Seriously. It pisses me off because everyone's like, "Oh! Yes! You'll definitely need to know thta Juan Carlos bought four more hot dogs than Juanita, but you will NEVER, EVER need to speak English. So just cut grammar out because that shit is unnecessary, especially in America."

I took Accelerated Geom. 1-2 (geometry) last summer and it was 4 hours and 35 minutes everyday and you are only allowed to miss 3 days, because it was all crammed into 6 weeks.

 8O

I liked that better though! I'm over and done with it...but it was torture, 2 chapters a week, like 5-6 sections a day.

ugh...the horror! lol

I'm taking Precalculus/Trig next year

Holy mother of God!  4 hours and 35 minutes a day...I'd die....I hated geometry...omg I use to make like 40's on the tests and was *proud* of myself...I somehow made a C and passed and the grade i got for the average yearly grade thing was a B so yay.

I use the math I learned in high school.  I don't have a fancy job either.  NOW, the things I learned back then for fun like:

pi = 3.141592653589793238462643 approximately IS useless.  You don't need to know pi that accurately to use it for practical purposes. And yeah I typed that out from memory.  The funny thing is how I was able to memorize it.  I made it into a melody I still remember.  Crazy huh?

Algebra 2. At least it was entertaining and made logical sense. Geometry was boring and somewhat confusing, lol.

but I had it:
Algebra 1
Geometry
Algebra 2
Pre-Calculus

Geometry.  And don't try to take both in one year.  It'll screw you up big time. :icky:

I don't get why people say you never use algebra and such when I seem to use it every day. Heck, when we studied matrices and vectors this year, I immediately found that I could use them to solve problems I had been working on.

Now, we're doing some basic calculus. Finding the area of something under a curve. Combined with the various regressions, it's a very useful tool.
