No drugs/smoking, alcohol, sex before marriage.

On My space they were talking about this and it was on the bulletin board and I just wanted to know if any of you were straight edge.

I've been straight edge since forever.

I just say I've been straight edge for 6-7 years.

In other words - No, I'm not. Plus, I believe that sex is a man and a woman becoming one, whole thing. There's no reason why it should be AFTER marriage, because it's a spiritual, emotional, and physical bond. There's nothing shameful about it; thus, I believe there's no reason for it to be held until after marriage.

No comment on drugs, smoking, and drinking.

Yes I am 17.

Believe it or not, in (middle school starts 5/6 grade) middle school kids were already getting into these things and I have stayed away since and a few years ago (my freshman year of high school) they did an article in the school newspaper about straight edge people and my friend was doing that and I said I was, and ever since then I've told people that I am straight edge.

Don't worry, I've been insulted plenty of times, for being straight edge.

Absolutely not. As far as the marriage thing, I'm already 'after marriage.' More than 10 years after marriage. I smoke. I don't need drugs. Emphasis on 'need,' except of course cigarrettes.

I wasn't insulting you! I think its a personal choice to be 'Straight Edge' and thats completely fine by me. Personally, i drink but thats about it. It all comes with age here, lol- i can't say i know many people that are 'Straight Edge' out of choice though.

ummm no? Well at the moment...no drinking or sex....but later? perhaps? I don't think I will get married and my momma said it was ok to have sex when you're 35 when we were having our discussion on oral sex on buses and how terribly wrong it is...and me being the facetious little girl that I am asked what a blow job was and my mom didn't tell me...she said you can find out when you're 35...and my pop says I can't date until I'm 35...soooooo when I'm 35 I will no longer be straight edge.
