Certainly you've heard their song "Screaming Infidelities" ??  That has received quite a bit of airplay.

i was obsessed with dc two summers ago
and sorta stopped listening ever since then

ive always loved
so impossible,
the good fight,
a sharp hint of new tears,
and the best deceptions

This Brilliant Dance gives makes me feel all funny and stuff. I love it. You don't beat:

So you buried all your lover's clothes.
And burned the letters lover wrote.
ut it doesn't make it any better.
Does it make it any better?
And the plaster dented from your fist,
In the hall where you had your first kiss,
Reminds you that the memories will fade.

I LOVE IT!

THE LEAK on MTV
Once the CD comes out, each song will be cut down to a 30 sec clip

dashboard was on letterman last night, they performed "hands down" (i'm telling ya all, this is an amazing song live- i saw them in hartford and they played it as an encore. it was hot stuff). chris has a little kinda mohawk thing going on but it's cute.

the new album comes out the 12th, make sure you pick it up!

and i love "brilliant dance" cece! it's amazing... if i could tell you guys how much this band has changed my life..

"a mark, a mission, a brand, a scar" came out on august 12th, i picked it up yesterday. it was cheap where i bought it and comes with a dvd of studio sessions.. it's SO worth it, i've been listening nonstop since i bought it. amazing lyrics though less of just chris and the acoustic.. but it's hot stuff anyway. pick it up! I <3 it and i think you will too! :-)

also, dashboard was on "last call" with carson daly last night and they performed "hands down".  i will try to find a link of the performance for ya all! ;-) that's all kelley has for dashboard today!

much love

dashboard confessional has been one of my favorite bands for a very long time, and they all of a sudden got really famous when they started playing the new version of "hands down" on the radio.. i guess im selfish but im upset that i can't see my favorite band at small general admission venues where its a lot more intimate and its only really big fans..  like last thrusday i went to their first show here after the new album came out and they played at the universal amphitheater.. a huge place compared to the 500 people venues he would play at before.. and i was surrouened by people who knew nothing about their previous music and barely any of the new stuff either..all they did was stand there and scream things like "f*ck me chris!!" and throwing their bra up at the poor guy..

i guess its comparable to if no one heard anything about vanessa for the first 3 years she came out and then all of a sudden everyones like IM A NESSAHOLIC OMG HEHE I LIKE LOVE HER! and then you can only see her play at these huge venues where people only go to see cos they like atm.

good for him that hes making more money.. but what sucks is that he used to play at these tiny places and would come out after the show to talk to his fans.. and at his last show there were so many people.. and i had backstage and he didnt even go into the backstage area..
sorry.. as you can tell im still upsetted by all this new found stardom.. =/
