I think he made enough money off of regulate to retire for life. Everyone I know has owned a copy of that album at some point.
Edit: Actually, I remember that he had another album called "Take A Look Over My Shoulder" years after Regulate with "What's Love Got To Do With It?" and "I shot the sheriff" on it. Then another a few years later, but I'd stopped listening to rap by that point.
