are you sure she is not around anymore?
Well I've always assumed that yes she did .. :-?
My justifications ..
The doctor says now it won’t be long Doctors ONLY say this when they are almost 100% sure that whatever it is is incurable ... otherwise, doctors always hold out hope ...
But even still there is the possiblily ... no matter how small for a miracle.
It continues...
She comes to me like a piece of summer
She come to me on the days when I need it most
Well summer dies and nothing lasts forever HOW does she come? Not physically obviously .. she "comes" in rememberance ... and in thought ...
when people low and down and out with the world some give up and think of how much they CAN"T do, but others find inspiration in the memory and thought of others .. those that fought for life and struggled to SURVIVE ...
So Annie is the summer, becuase in the winter time when it's raining, and the weather is melancholoy and you're not feeeling so bright, you think of the summer, and summer is traditionally associated with fun and happiness and freedom (you know 3 months break from Uni etc etc)
Annie is likened to the summer because she hold hope and fun and happiness and viabrance, so when the V is down, she remembers Annie ...
but of course nothing lasts forever, and the "summer dies" ...
More to life than trying to survive .. ......
You’re so fine the way you stand up to your fears
Summer dies and it’s just moments we had together
I’d give my bones for you to get a few more yearsAnnie accepted the fact that she didn't have long to go, and rather than trying to hang on with whatever treatments they proposed ... "trying to survive" she accepted that there was nothing anyone could do ...
she feared death, as we all do ... but she stood up to it and accepted it ... and faced it head on, and made the most of the rest of her time?
And then, now that Annie has passed away, all we have are the memories ... we can keep a person "alive" thru' memory, but they are physically gone.
AND THEN ... FINALLY
Watch her as the flew deep into the blue
Watch her as she slips away from you
"flew into the deep blue" for me symobolized
her spirit ascending to the heavens ... the blue being the sky.and it's the past tense ... FLEW ..
so it HAPPENED .. not "will happen" or ther eis a chance it WON"T happen ... it's HAPPENED because she "flew" already.
Slipping away .. ascending higher and higher ...
When some one slips away, it generally means they're passed away ...
ok I think I'll go cry now ... :-(
I don't know.
I'm wrong ... I'm right. It's how I heard it.
Somone will have to ask vanessa ;-)
