Jesse was previously the lead guitarist for both Alanis Morissette and Michelle Branch.  He is visible in the Jagged Little Pill live DVD and the episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when Michelle performs "Goodbye to You".

Jesse was also nominated for an Emmy for his working on the songs in the Buffy episode "Once More, With Feeling".
