I took a so-called "introductory" course in Visual Basic last fall, and it was harder than my 4th year accounting theory class.  It was a living nightmare, and I was completely clueless.  Don't ask me how I passed it!

If I were you, I'd look for another course to replace it with (assuming you were taking it for the sake of filling an elective requirement, as I had done with my Visual Basic course).  I'm no computer programmer, but I'm not computer illiterate... and I struggled with that course.  

I somehow got a B overall in that course, but that was because a large number of people in the class were worse off than me (it was graded on a bell curve)... and NOT because I was good at it (I wasn't), lol!!!

Things like that come natually to you ...

This course this isn't a bell curve and there are actual programmers in the course ... like who know how to use Telnet and navigate thru' Dos like it's their own house ...
