Oh The Grass is Green, but can you tell me, can you feel it?
« on: April 23, 2005, 06:00:33 am »
Well, My god-father or something, is piolot of airplanes, so he brought a couple of Americans to Brazil, the couple before coming into the airplane, they bought COKE thinking that in Brazil doesn't exist coke, then, when my god-father got to São Paulo with them, the man saw the biulding, cars and etc and asked..

When are we going to get to BRAZIL?

My god-father said.. we're already here haha
hahahahha

They thought that in Brazil we were like " INDIANS or something TARZAN "

They got impressed with the people using JEANS and eating fast-food...

BRAZIL IS NOT A FOREST

This is where I livei in, GOIANIA CITY (UGLY)

This is SÃO PAULO, where the couple got to

SO, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SHOULD STOP THINKING THAT BRAZIL IS ONLY A BIG AND LOST FOREST

We have COMPUTERS, CELL PHONES, HOUSE, TELEPHONE, TV and many things

............ Vou para Europa descobrir alguns segredos da Vida ............

he is not saying that, but for those who have no contact with foreign people (like you ppl do trough forums and internet and more) they do come here expecting the exotic lol

an example...
at the museum of natural history in NYC they have a big map of brazil and Amazonia, and I remember they had amazon forest mapped troughout 99%of brazil  , which even before the europeans came here would have not been like that. So that does give a wrong image as in what to expect.

Thats where I lived... not nearly as big as Murillo's Goiania, but much prettier

I don't know if any of you remember me telling silly Brasil stories on the O boards, but one of them was about a Brasilian girl going to Canada to do her student exchange.  Her host family brought a box of clothes and boots and things for her to wear once she got off the plane, because they imagined that she would be an indian wearing a loincloth and coconut bra.

So please, just because there is a high concentration of idiots in the United States does not mean we are all idiots, but it also does not mean we are the only idiots.  Unfortunately, the world as a whole is full of them.

Well atlest Americans know where Brazil is.

I think geography is a really weak point here.  I know people who thought Brasil was in Africa.  And others that thought Portugual was in South America...
