Why bother putting something not even you can read into your sig?

I was talking to NESSAussie, not you. By the way, check your private messages.

For PYHOM themed sigs the Devanagari font is no less appropriate than other
Tibetan elements I included;  Life Lotus, Saffron colored text & hand prints

Devanagari is a script, not a font.

Also, using a machine translator is pointless. Sanskrit has one of the largest vocabularies of any language in the world. It even surpasses English. Like Latin, it has eight cases, providing routinely used constructions not present in English. Going from Sanskrit to English is one thing. If you go the other way, however, you'll get lots of stuff that doesn't make sense, simply because machines can't yet deal with the complex nuances of Sanskrit. They can barely deal with English, for crying out loud!

Furthermore, that so-called "translator" you linked to is not a translator at all. It converts from ITRANS to Devanagari. ITRANS isn't another name for text in the Latin script. It also contains ways of denoting accents (which we usually omit in English) as well as other nuances that the Latin script doesn't provide us (in English, anyway). Anything you get out of it will be a very poor transliteration of English into the Devanagari script, and as such, has nothing to do with Sanskrit. It's just English in Devanagari, poorly done. Hindi, Napali, and Kashmiri (among others) are routinely written in the Devanagari script, too. In fact, when you see Devanagari, it's more likely to be Hindi than Sanskrit because Hindi is much more widely spoken.

Your sigs are just as pointless as those shirts with random Kanji characters on them.

Online Translators never work. I tried to use one for my german coursework and the word order got completely messed up and there were too many multiple meanings and tenses of words :(

I should have described that as an itranslator generated representation  8)

Phonetics vs. Semantics  I should ask for translation at the forum here
1st with the context taken into account so the result is more accurate :D
