COLD
« on: March 31, 2003, 09:34:20 pm »
Cold is a band I've dug for a couple years now. Their last album had some mindblowing tracks. "No One" was an amazing single, the one that got me hooked. From the same album there was 2 tracks Aaron from Staind did vocals on. The best being "Bleed" which was a soft acoustic song! It was a single too but got little play.
Last year they had the song "Gone Away" on the MTV Tough Enough soundtrack and that got good play.
Now they have a new album coming out on May 13th... and I just downloaded it (6 weeks early!) and I LOVE it! "Stupid Girl" is the lead single but its not even close to being the best track. Most the tracks on here would be perfect singles.

Cold has some amazing albums.... however I am forced to add a P.S. and that is this: they suck live! Scooter the lead singer just can not bring the same feeling to the stage thats on the albums. Which is sad but I still enjoy the albums!

> This song was really well done in 'A Walk to Remember".  I am such a sucker for that movie.  Not just because of Mandy Moore.  The forst time I saw it, I didn't know who she was.  The soundtrack really got me into the movie.

> Speaking of AWTR, Switchfoot is also a great band.  Thier tune from the movie  just kills me.  I get the shivers when it comes on durring the movie.

> Ya... Ah... I am not even touching that one.  'Popass'  and Mandy Moore in the same sentance is an interesting subject.  It is more of a fantasy really.  I will keep it clean for all the kiddies though.

I just saw the "Stupid Girl" video for the first time on MTV's Return Of The Rock. Decent video, performance mostly... Scooter's new look is interesting. The bald head with the scruffy beard.  8O

No Seattle dates but I doubt I'd go even if there was. I just cant stand their live act.

Yet another chance to sit back and laugh at MTV's attempt to be hip. They have this thing called "The Leak" where they offer an entire album in streaming Real Audio format a week or so before the release...
http://www.mtv.com/music/the_leak/cold/index.jhtml

To bad the rest of the internet got "the leak" a month ago.
An interesting note tho, there's a "bonus track" which is actually "Gone Away" from last year's Tough Enough soundtrack. I thought they were just gonna leave it off the CD, but it looks like it'll be on there as a bonus track after all. Good move, I like that song.
