Brandi's new album, The Story dropped on Tuesday and I had the pleasure of seeing her for the 5th time on Monday.

If you haven't checked her out yet, you should. And for all you Grey's fans this Thursday they are going to premiere The Grey's Anatomy Music Video for The Story.

Here's the preview.

and a few videos from the show you can find here.

the new album is great. at first i didn't like it as much as her first, becuase the songs didn't really strike me right away. but it's one of those albums that you have to listen to a few times and REALLY listen and you realize how good it is.

i highly recommend brandi carlile to anyone who likes folk-rock, singer-songwriters, or just good music in general. "the story" is only 7.99 on iTunes--probably only for a limited time so get it while it's hot!

I think my favorite is Until I Die and Wasted but it's all great! It might be a little over produced in parts but it's fantastic. Love the harmonies.

I get to see her again on Thursday!! :)

So glad you are enjoying her, Nerea. Have you heard the new album yet?

She was great in NYC. Wish I could have also gone to the show on Friday but she's out on tour again this summer supporting the Indigo Girls. Don't care much for them but since they are on the new record I am sure they'll do a song or two together. Brandi is a touring fool! She's still going strong through August. Check out her tour page to see if she's coming to you.

And for the Grey's Anatomy fans, Turpentine will be on tonight. :)

That is no shit.  One look at her myspace....going to a city, jumping around and then returning two weeks later...returning to another place one month later...all the while cruising though all these other places.  8O

You were at the show? I didn't see you.

If anyone is interested, Again Today.com a BC fan site. Is working with Brandi's jr. high school to make a donation in her name for her birthday next month. They are going to present her with a check at her birthday show in Seattle. You can make a donation here.

I'm so addicted to her CD. I bought it last week because I thought the cover looked cool and when I put it on I didn't think much of it but now I can't stop listening to it.
It's a real grower  :)

Awesome pictures and videos btw, Let.

I'm not a big fan or anything, but from what I've heard, I think she will be huge in a few years, probably amongst the older crowd

Yeah, her first fans were older like me but they seem to be all ages now.

Saw her again last night in San Francisco at The Fillmore (SOLD OUT.) She is headling the Vh1 You Oughta Know Tour with A Fine Frenzy. Here the review I posted at AT.com

Seriously, I thought last weekend's House Concert was amazing (well it was) but this was freakin' fantastic. Sooo much energy in that room. It was crazy! There was the usual SF banter and loudness which can be annoying but is funny. The best one was the dude that said, "My wife thinks you're hot!" After Brandi was done laughing she said something like, is it ok if I say, I think your wife is hot?

Yeah so many new songs and damn if I thought the song was called, "That Day." She said the show was supposed to be done but she wasn't getting off stage. I was so happy she included it in her set. I did hear some sniffling. It was even more beautiful than last weekend.

I was really happy there was a poster. For those that don't know, The Fillmore almost always (never figured out why there wasn't one last show with IG) gives you a poster commemorating the show as you leave.

I was also surprised to see Brandi outside signing autographs after the Eugene review. She did go in the bus (it is seriously right outside the front door) but came back out to sign for everyone else. This is how great she is. She was about to get on the bus and said, "Is that everyone?" Amazing. She really is great.

Ok so here's the setlist:

Intro/ a capella
My Song
Wasted
Follow
Late Morning Lullaby
Closer To You (Without as she said I've Just Seen A Face)
Have You Ever
Happy (acoustic)
Josephine (acoustic)
How These Days Grow Long (acoustic) they all stood 1 studio like mic
I Write These Words
Turpentine
Downpour
Madman Across The Water
Love Songs
The Story
****************************************
Folsom Prison Blues
What Can I Say
Pride & Joy
That Year
Hallelujia
