like for the people who live in Austrailia, do you have the accent? G'DAY MATES? Did you ever eat shark fin soup?
Shark fin soup? What!? Never even heard of it. About "G'day mate", I say "G'day", but some people think it's weird (even though we're in AUSTRALIA!). It's mostly middle-aged men who say "G'day mate" as a greeting, in my experience! And as for "The Accent", sorry to disappoint you, but no-one I have ever met has the stereotypical accent fake Aussies have in movies/TV etc. "The Accent" is horrible, and is embarrassing for me to hear. It's horrendous and just....ew. Sounds so... bogan-ish.
For the people in Great Britian, is fish and chips claimed as a FOOD GROUP because its so popular? Does it ever get really hot and do u go swimming? IDK why, but when i thinnk of britian, i think chilly. Are there beaches?
Fish and Chips are very popular in Australia, but they are not recognized by nutitionists as a food group, lol. I don't think it gets really hot in the UK. I was born in Australia and have never ventured from this land as yet, but my dad is British. It does get hot here. Here in SA, you can expect it to get to at least 40 degrees C... which is somewhere over 100 degrees F... Right now, it is winter and to me, it's FREEZING, but seeing it doesn't snow where I live, I guess to anyone else it's not really that cold at all. And I can answer your question about beaches. Yes, there are beaches in the UK. They tend to be rocky. I live right near the beach here, and it's very nice and sandy.
.... and in Northern California, we say hella. A lot.
That's funny, because when No Doubt had that song "Hella Good", I thought it was something Gwen Stefani must have made up, because I had never heard it before. [/b]
