I like "old-skool metal", old-skool thrash, and some black metal, melodic death metal, neoclassical/shred metal, progressive metal...

Metal in new forms more or less... I listen to some fairly heavy music but I'm not much of a fan of Screamo... well I like some but not when screaming completely replaces the singing... not for me.

That's not what all Metal is like though, I mean, I agree, I don't care for those types of bands like Slipnot... but that's sort of stereotyping all metal, most actually isn't like that from what I know.
