These girls are SMOKIN!!!  And I personally find them really damn catchy...  perfect summertime music.  Thier CD somes out on May 27th and they're my guess for a "next big thing."

A quick Bio from their website:

Six years since picking up instruments for the first time, Lillix is set to strike American audiences with their rambunctious, pop-infused rock and roll on Falling Uphill, the band's Maverick Records debut. With a lead vocal triple threat made up of guitarist Tasha-Ray Evin (17), older sister and keyboardist Lacey-Lee Evin (19), and bassist Louise Burns (17), as well as an accomplished drummer in recent addition Kim Urhahn (23), this Canadian band has a well-cultivated musical vision.

Armed with influences running the gamut from Queen to Weezer and the Beatles to Radiohead, Lillix set up shop in the Evins' basement while still in the 7th grade, and started belting out rock-edged pop tunes written and played by their own hands and own instruments.

I actually heard one of their singles on Kiss Kombat the other night. It was pretty catchy and had a good sound. It kind of reminded me of Avril Lavigne-type stuff, but eh LOL. Catchy enough for me to download within the next two days, which is impressive, considering how uber-lazy I am when it comes to going, finding, and downloading new music . I may have to see if I can find any more of their stuff.

Lillix is also from my home province, British Columbia   :D

KIIS-FM Los Angeles recently started playing them, and they have even made it to JoJo's Top 9 and Carson Daly's Most Requested (the customized KIIS version, that is).

Yeah.. I'm so glad I lucked onto them...  I've had such a great time finding out more about them form their management and all.. their board is kinda packed with some oldies form another band it looks like so it's hard to  move in there(aka first thread I read was about one of them thinking the were pregnant....hmm.... an o-board already).  But they do have a Street Team...  and have been in a lot of the mags already...

I think they could really get out there...  thank for letting me know about their airplay :)

and hey.. hot girls with musical talent... works for me...

Well hopefully Maverick will promote them better than they did justincase.

Hmm, JoJo of KIIS-FM also said they sounded almost exactly like Avril Lavigne, but when I listened to it, I didn't think so...

That's a pretty unfair comparison...

Band of multiple girls singing tight harmonies and changing leads so that you have different vocal characteristincs throughout the songs...

vs.

single girl singing by herself...

kinda like apples and oranges think...

Exactly.  And even if you tried to isolate any one of their voices, I still don't think any of them sound like Avril.
