I've read it. Quite looking forward to the film version. The effects in the afterlife world should be pretty cool, with Jackson at the helm.

yeah, hope it was great and metal \m/ hehe

Haha. Couldn't have been much less metal \m/ I'm afraid!

We ended up inside a *transvestite* cabaret club called The Manor Club in the early hours. Safe to say that we didn't know this until we'd paid the £5.00 entry fee (honestly!!). The barman gave us free entry passes to come back! Although mine is still gathering dust on my bedside table as we speak (again, honestly!!).

My friend tried one of these things ages ago. There are a few test credit card numbers that are never assigned to cards but they are valid and can be used for testing e-commerce systems and the like. So we all purchased the required 2 x DVDs using these numbers. Obviously the payments were declined post-processing and no DVDs arrived but his referral counter was not decremented. Not sure if he ever got his free iPod though.

And that concludes this mildly interesting and somewhat anti-climactic anecdote.

I used to play at school!

I've still got my cards somwhere I'm sure. Some of them used to be worth a lot of money. Maybe they still are.

One of the questions I'm required to ask my customers when they sign up for new Internet service is if they are using a PC or a MAC.

So many time I hear:
"uhh, its a laptop."

*headesk*
me: "okay, does it have Microsoft Windows?" "Yes, well then that's a PC."

Hehe. This takes me back to my old job.

Okay now reboot your computer
How do I do that?
Grrr. Just hold the button on the front for 10 seconds and then press it again
Okay, done
*suspicious* What is it doing now?
It's just at my desktop again
You've just turned your monitor off and on again haven't you?
Errrrm.
*sigh*

That's only because the mods are all lazy.

You do know that I can ban you myself now, right?

Only you're too lazy, right?

Crisps are oily and therefore are not good for your complexion.

I don't eat them. Lol.

I bet all these guys thought "Make-up Tips" was really a guise, and this thread was actually about something more secretive and therefore exciting. Sorry guys, it's just about makeup.

No, I just read everything on this board.  Well, almost everything.  Probably just as much as (or possibly more than) some of the mods.

That's only because the mods are all lazy.

There will be no "Torso Tips" thread

Doh. I could do with some. Although I probably wouldn't get very far with any tips that don't involve watching TV, eating crisps and never working out.

P.S. Crisps are potato chips, my American friends.

Ooooo. It's like a glimpse into Heat magazine. Only without the disgraced celebrities and torso of the month.

P.S. MeganJane, you remind me of Samaire Armstrong (aka Anna from The OC, or "that girl from the Hanson video")

This thread is old. Please stop PMing me about it. It was a one time thing that we ran before the tracks were available for download. I'm no longer sending out CDs.

Never had one, never will. I abhor smoking and people who smoke in public (indoors or outdoors). I think they should all be shot.

I can't wait for the UK public smoking ban to kick in. Although having to listen to those foul smelling nicotine junkies whining non-stop about the violation of their precious pseudo-right to smoke will be almost as bad as having to breathe in their second hand carconogens. At least they'll be suffering.

in a city in los angeles called calabasas, it is illegal to smoke in public, outdoors in a public place, and if you're in your car, you have to roll the windows up.

I instantly love that city.

My favourite shredding guitarist is Yngwie Malmsteen. He is a heavy metal guitarist, famous for making neoclassical music what it is. Metalheads will know who Yngwie is - "that egotistical bastard". Yes, he is very egotistical but he made the genre what it is. I love how he plays purely classical music on electric guitar using alternate and sweep picking.

He made tendonitis cool :)
