Live Shows / Partying it up at O-State!

I knew that would get your attention!

As most of you know I go to school at SUNY Oneonta.  Y'all have no idea how excited I am to meet up with everyone!  So, I would like to organize a place for everyone to meet before the show so we all can go in together and take up most of the front rows, lol.  Gotta love general admission, that's all I have to say!  If y'all can post here if you're coming along with an ETA that would be much appreciated.  Also, the nightlife in Oneonta is pretty great, rumor has it that there are 54 bars within a one block radius, but since I am only 19 I wouldn't know, right? :wink:   So, we all can hit up the club afterward or go to the diner or something.  As usual, you all can feel free to send me a pm is you need directions or accomodations info.

Vanessa Songs / Lyrics / Sheet Music / Question about "Sway"

I am listening to BNN as usual tonight while doing homework, and at the beginning of Sway about 3 measures in I could swear I hear Vanessa whispering something....am I imagining it or is she really aying something?  It's really faint, I can't make out one word of it but I honestly can say that it sounds like she whispers.  Can anyone back me up?

Other Musicians / Dave Matthews Band

I can't believe no one has started a DMB thread yet!  The DMB has been a huge part of my life for about 3 years.  I think what draws me to them is Dave's writing.  his lyrics are so true and wise, I think everyone can relate to at least one Dave song if not more.  I have only been to one Dave show unfortunately, but in August i will be going twice so it's all good!  Am i the only Dave fan on the boards?  I sure hope not!

Introduce Yourself / Old fan but new to Nessaholics!

Hey all!  I've been a Vanessa fan since before she even broke into the mainstream music scene.  I am seeing her on April 26, she is playing at my college in Oneonta.  I can't wait!  

For a little about me, I am a sophomore at SUNY Oneonta, I've been a dancer since I was three, I am an RA in Wilber Hall and I love it.  My major is Anthropology, but my dream is to become an archaeologist and later a museum curator and faculty memeber at Oneonta.  

My hobbies include dancing (obviously), performing with the college choir, performing in various stage productions at SUCO (most recently in the opera The Ballad of Baby Doe) hanging out with my friends, residents and staff, and relaxing.  I am originally from Norwich New York which is about 40 minutes from Oneonta and in Upstate NY.  

Obviously I love Vanessa Carlton, but I also am a huge fan of Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Michelle Branch, Norah Jones, Britney Spears, Matchbox 20, and classic rock from the 60's and 70's, not to mention a closet 80's "hairband" and techno junkie.  I love watching TLC shows like Wedding Story, Trading Spaces, and What Not to Wear.  I also never miss American Idol (Ruuuuben!) and Thursday Must See TV.  

I am really excited to join Nessaholics!  Nessa fans are some of the greatest people around, I can't wait to meet up with some at the concert at SUCO.  17 days and counting![/i]
