The bridge is pretty, but it does remind me of Clocks by Coldplay. And when she goes falsetto there (can you ascribe that to a female? haha) I find it a bit nasal or something. I also wonder why she randomly says, "Hey". Maybe it's just a popular trend, haha.

I really hate the song.  It makes me sad, I wanted her to re-emerge with a really great single, but Nolita Fairytale is...not.

This is what I think

Bridge = Clocks...... Because the first section before she moves is a P4 down from the clocks bridge...  
(G# - G - E [clocks])  VS...(D# - D - A# [n.f.])
Then it moves to D# - D - G , 2 times then D# - D - F
BASS is just E then lower C then lower A#

anyways

I personaly dont like this song. I have played it for a lot of people they are all like the drums are going too crazy. It sounds like it is trying to mix too much together.. and I for one am no the biggest fan of it... I am of Vanessa so I think I will just go and support her and what she does...  I don't think this will make it high on a chart...

I'm gaining more respect for this song the more I listen to it.  Way to go Carlton!  I think once it gets on the radio it's going to do really well (And past all your fans, aka, music critics.)  :wink: lol

I like the drums in this song, especially at the beginning and end because it is not just your regular boring everyday use of them. It gives the song it's own character.  Drum rolls are cool.  Even though drums are used like usual through the song, they are given a break and actually keep the rhythm of the song at places where it's useful.
