Nolita Fairytale-First single??

Yaaaay she's back! I haven't been on the forum for so long and all this happens! Well I loved the 44 second clip, but was a bit disappointed when I heard the whole thing because it sounded so over-produced. The more I have heard it though I love it!! (even though the bridge sounds too much like clocks-still cute though!)

Now I'm just hoping she comes over to the UK again!
xoxo

Thank so much for the sig Scotty!! <3 It's gorgeous!

Um has anyone made the sheet music for it? I am dieing to play, and now with the live performance it is probably easier to hear all the notes and such? :).

sorry. i just think lyrically and melodically it's subpar. Harmonium was incredible. Her stevie nicks name-dropping and "take away my record deal" and blah blah the fashion show, they all just annoy me. and i hate that "HEY!" thing. she's just done so much better. she can write beautiful songs. this is a hilary duff song. or some other little teen queen. not a mature singer-songwriter.

^Yep. I love this song but it always seems like I'm listening to Hilary Duff during this song.

I'm inclined to agree. I think the piano version is much better than the album version but having said that, it's still not great in my opinion.

The percussion reminds me of a Tahitian Dance workout DVD I have.  :?
hehe.

I like the message but I think it will be lost on most people. Not many people who hear it on the radio will have a clue what she's singing about. Also, if they do find out what she's singing about, it has nothing to do with them. That's just my opinion though; some people may find they're able to relate to it on some level.

The same message shown from a different angle could be a brilliant song, but for me this isn't.

In my opinion she definitely can do better.

I loved the song with just the piano actually,on the recorded version I loved the percussion! I enjoyed the melody and how personal the lyrics are to her and I loved the fact that her apartment was a bit messy and she doesn't seem to mind, but the editing of that video...was like a cheap high school graduation video with cheap effects and why was it spelled HEROS??? in the video and in the video description :?:  :?: and the "V TV" logo...so cheap! note to irv: increase her budget!!!

I think it's in B major, so if you play around with the notes in that scale you should start to hear it :)

Wow. where did you find this vid?  I am impressed by VC's improved vocal control.  This version is spectacular.

Edit: I found it on http://www.theincrecords.com/
