This is the rabbit/owl dress I'm talking about in the previous post.

She looks like she's going to sleep, which led her to...

this gorgeous, dream-like scene. This is one of my favorites.

This one's after the bridge. This smile prepares us for another momentum...

Looks like the owl is ready to fly.... Then....

Isn't this one beautiful?

And love comes back...

...around again.

Seriously, I'm going to post here every Carousel .gif I'd see. Everything is just beautiful.

OMFG I totally feel like doing a mega tumblr. post. Mind if I use these? Not sure if you made them hehehe I shall give credit if soo :D

Current takes me out, what will be, will be. Floating on the sea, stars are watching me.

I did. but this is what I just saw he wrote under the video. I really don't like this guy.

Vanessa Carton has recently premiered the music video for "Carousel", the lead single from her upcoming studio album "Rabbits on the Run" to be released on June 21st via Razor & Tie Records - Pretty song, pretty video! I'm afraid though this is gonna flop hArd. She's gotta give us another 'A Thousand Miles" or "White Houses". You know, cute/mellow, piano-driven tunes, with a commercial edge.

Wow. How rude. I could care less if what Vanessa does is considered commercial. As long as she keeps making music the way she wants to make it, then I'll be here. If other people won't listen to her because she isn't "pop" enough, then it's their loss. It bothers me the way people throw the word "flop" around, like just because something doesn't sell well, it should be completely discounted, when Vanessa has consistently made some of the best music I've ever heard. If people can't respect her music for what it is...then, frankly, they can just fuck off.

Don't care for those comments either...
Way to misspell CARLTON.  My gosh...CARTON?  Of cigarettes?  Geez.
I understand what he means by the "commercial edge", but man, I think anyone can relate to Carousel.  It's a great concept, and no I will not make a smartass comment about getting off, ha ha.

I like it.  It's classic Vanessa.  That guy doesn't like it?  Too bad.  I do.

I can't stop watching this video.  I really like how it's sort of like a moving photo shoot, like there isn't necessarily a PLOT or STORY that each image advances, it's just about the aesthetics and beautiful imagery.

Does anyone else really like the end, where Vanessa (because clearly we're on a first name basis... lol) turns towards us and sings the last lines right at us?  I can't quite articulate why, but I keep watching it over and over XD

Martin.

C'mon. Vanessa is SO OVER the pressure to impress anybody. At this point in her life, I think what matters is her true artistry, not commercialism nor the amount of money she'll get.

So, screw cute/mellow, piano-driven tunes, with a commercial edge because what she writes are beautiful piano-driven tunes.

For someone who not only stalks/adores/and sometimes emulates artists like Lady Gaga you cannot consider him to be anything of a connoisseur of good music.

Besides, from what I can hear, this album is a bit like a really fine piece of art. Its something that has come from her heart and not from her head, without taking into consideration album sales/chart topping singles/etc.

This is something that YOU and I and every other NESSAholic on this forum knows.

It's already understood.

Vanessa doesn't want your attention Mr. Perez. This album isn't for you.
Please take your comments and shove them back into where they came from.
Thank You.

(I can't believe he got me all worked up like that  :-\)

When someone dissed Ke$ha a page or two back, I didn't say anything cuz I figured maybe it was a once-off thing, but I for one would rather us not go around bashing other artists just to make ourselves feel better.  And I'm not just saying that cuz I'm a fan of Lady Gaga (which I am, and for the record she has much better music than that "Just Dance" crap), I'm saying it because Vanessa is so much better than dissing other artists for personal gain, and we should be too.  Let's just enjoy her music and let other people enjoy whatever they want to (even if it sucks lol)
