i don't really call her, cuz i don't have her number :wink:
and you said if i called her my wife/sex kitten i had issues...

so i chose "That one chick who plays the piano"...in reality i call her "nessa".

lol and tricia will always be the sexy rock girl, who needs a sex kitten anyway? :twisted:

I usually call her Vanessa and my first ask me if I am on a first name basis with her. teehee I also use VC.

Before I went on the board... I'll always blast ATM when it was on the radio til my roommates wanted to kill me.  After a while they started calling VC my girlfriend. lol

It's usually Vanessa Carlton when i'm talking about her to my friends or peers, if i'm around other fans or nessaholics i'll say vanessa.  I can't say VC around here because it stands for Vanilla Coke in our weird lingo in Wilber Hall, don't ask me why, lol.

I would have picked the sex kitten one but......oh shit I know I have issues....goes to change vote.....

but seriously, I call her nessa.  You guys got me in the habit of that.....I had no idea that was a short form of vanessa before I came to the o-board.  Most vanessas I knew when growing up were very big girls(literally) who at any minute could run up to you and squish your brains out with a passionate hug or something like that.  But I have a few years on nessa so.......nessas have sure changed since then ;)

I usually call her Vanessa because there's only one other Vanessa any of us know and it's our neighbor's daughter, but they have nothing in common so in any one sentence it's easy to tell which Vanessa we're talking about by the context.

I've always just had a thing against shortening someone's given name, even if that's how their closest friends call them unless I'm around the person seven hours a day, five days a week, and then I start to shorten anything.  My own fiancée I'll even call by her three-syllable name instead of just by the first one as her brother and friends call her.  She has too beautiful a name to shorten, IMHO (Both my fiancée and Vanessa).

As for her music, I call that Nessahol! :wink:

I certainly have issues, but I just refer to her as "Vanessa Carlton". With a pause. Like, you know, what her name is. So I voted "other". :)

Now then, I am thinking about nikkee and VC being girlfriends. I need a cold shower.
