so if a thread is titled "Sex" you have the right not to go into because it says "Sex" in the title..your words...which are fine

if a thread is titled "Hey Pete", you (Todd, or anyone else who hates those threads) have the right not to enter the thread as well.....kinna goes the same over at the o-board....you dont like the thread title, you dont go in...

THATS WHAT IM SAYING!!!

and im sorry but rule 9 partains to the respect of watching your mouth for youngsters, however the whole thread is something i wouldnt want my kid reading, even at the age of 16 i wouldnt want my kid knowing about all sorts of sexual positions and fantasies of people on the internet,

You dont seem to understand Andrew that im not asking for a change, im asking for them to do things the way the rules themselves state they will, for one thread that breaks rules to be let go and another to get locked is absurd, I have said i am leaving, not because i dont like people here because i like everyone, even all the people who whine and irritate the hell out of me, i just dont feel like dealing with it here when i dont even have to over there, i dont own this board or that board..but im a fan, maybe not the biggest fan but i feel like a circus monkey here instead of a fan of one singer..its overrated

Then Pete, you are exercising the greatest power you have.  The power to boycot something you dont like.  Your absence will state your opinion more clearly than your presence.

Im sad to see you go, but if you dont like it, then dont participate.  It's that simple.

what is the point though?  Seriously... what is the advantage of posting back and forth in a thread, vs just PMing the person?  Why is "chat threads" which is another term for "let's post back and forth so i can get my post count up real high" so much better?

I just don't get it... really i don't.  I would love for someone to be able to explain it to me.

it's not about the post count...atleast not for me.....sure i make a "special thread" for it over there.....i guess its bout talkin' to your friends.....i just would prefer not to have to delete a crapload of e-mails stating that i have received a PM....i know I've received a PM once that little Pop-Up shows up.....i understand the e-mail is good if you're not online talking, but if your chatting, delete all that is a hassle...takes some time.....

But do you see Pete... they can break their own rules.  Thats the beauty of it.  It's THEIR MB.  Be thankful that they let us post ANYTHING.

Are you paying for their webhosting?  Did you pay to develop the source code?  Did you pay to register to domain?

That is a total stretch of Rule 9 if I've ever seen one.  BTW, does anyone else we're arguing over these rules like it's the friggin Constitution?!

Rule 9 pertains to language.  That simple.  You can NOT say "oh but it deals with any issue that might hamper children".

To reiterate what katia said, you can turn off the e-mail feature so it wont send you an e-mail when you get a PM.

because in the hey pete thread it wouldnt be two people, it would be anyone who wanted to join the conversation, you locking a hey pete thread means we will just make up a thread like this thread i just made so we can all take therefore you guys create more work for yourselves and more useless chat threads....now this thread is rather serious so its not just a silly chat thread, but that was my intention..i cant say hey Brian, or talk to me here because it gets locked, so i needed to make a point, im sorry i did it the smartass way but i really didnt have any other ideas at the time

GSU, all i do is watch you whine all day about people, i feel like im arguing with an arrogant child whenever you speak, and i hope that insults you as much as you insult me every time you post here, at least my posts are in an attempt to be friendly...its not a stretch of the rule, sexual content is language and unnacceptable language in my opinion

so i was watching Kate & Leopold the other day.  BTW, if you haven't seen this movie i highly recommend it.  It's well, a chick flick, but one of the best things about it is watching how honorable of an individual Leopold is.

Kate's job is basically in marketing and she does research to find out what people want, and then gives it to them.  She rates a movie they're doing a review of in the 60%'s saying the main actress isn't likable or something, and the director flips his lid saying that he thinks she is very likable and that they're sucking the life out of american cinema.

I think i'm beginning to realize that whatever i do, i can't please everyone.  I guess if i can please 60, 70 or even 80% ... then i'll be a step ahead.  I can only reiterate that we don't shun anyone based on where they're from, i think most of the population is stupid, and i challenge people to prove me wrong.

So far NONE of the people complaining have given me 1 half way decent complaint other than to basically say "I feel unloved, wah".

Personally, I find this sad.
