Your initial comments seemed directed at BV. I just wanted to make clear that it was something that we'd already decided before Kev was even a mod.
You have a fair point. It is inconsistant. I don't remember why we decided it was an acceptable risk to have URLs is the FAQ. I don't have any idea why Rogier's thread didn't trigger the same response. To be honest I'd forgotten it was something we had decided until now. Yes that does make me a half assed mod.

The first time someone does something questionable or iffy, especially if he or she has a history of good behavior, I am gonna give him or her the benefit of the doubt and just chalk it up to being moody, or tired, or making the wrong decision, or confusion or whatever.
But the third and fourth time I am gonna get pissy.
I just got Katia's ruling on this and I am satisfied with it......
For those who are curious, we ARE allowed to post links to files on our own servers. As long as we are taking responsibility for the files we are hosting and not trying to pretend it is an official NH.com server.
In other words, take responsibility for your own actions.
So Charles and roo are fine to post their URL's in the future.
