This hasn't been posted on for years, but I'm just here to say that I absolutely love Mika. Not only do I adore his music, but he's one of my favorite people all-around. That is all.

I love Mika also. I can't wait for Origin of Love to come out next year. I still listen to Elle Me Dit every day since it came out and I'm still not tired of it yet! I already know Karen is going to be one of my favorites from the album.

Yeah, she forgot to thank us in the booklet, but she (or whichever one of her people lurks around this board) read that we noticed it, and she took to twitter to thank us, so we got a thank-you tweet, I guess. Better than nothing, anyway.

I don't want to get my hopes up. I hope it's new material, but I have a feeling it's just cover songs, including "Like A Virgin" and the other that was released. I mean, that's if the EP thing is even real. Good thing is, an EP can be as many as eight songs.

That was so interesting:) what exactly does she mean by western doctors? like.. fakes?

It's my understanding that western medicine is a lot more straightforward and advanced than the rest of the world. In the West, we go to doctors and hospitals when there's something wrong with us. In places like China, Africa, Japan, etc., it's not uncommon to go to a witch doctor or herbalist and have them prescribe tea or some sort of mystical concoction to fix whatever ails you.

I agree with this. I'm still curious though about what sickness it really is.

I’ve definately written enough lyrics about walking on water… oh, and that song about the sky? 17 feels like another lifetime!

Well, it looks like V won't do any recording of her unreleased songs, given that it makes her cringe.

If so, she'll probably rewrite a good amount of the lyrics, keeping the melodies, which she never said she dislikes. We still have unreleased songs that weren't written that long ago. BB still has a chance, I suppose. Unfortunately, Quail Dude Squaw is out the window.

I don't get it.  Why would you intentionally post a bunch of mean comments about Vanessa Carlton on a Vanessa Carlton fansite?  Like, why do you want to upset people?  Can't we just be happy for her performance without having to defend her from lunatics?

I posted the comments so people could see what people are saying. If I upset someone, I didn't mean to. And all the comments weren't mean. Stevie Nicks' fans didn't like the Stevie/Nessa Carousel performance. Big deal.   And why on earth would we have to defend her from anything? These people don't like Nessa and they're entitled to that opinion.  

You're just kind of killing everyone's buzz haha.  It's just unnecessary, like I'm trying to enjoy my favorite artist here, why ruin it for me.  And I notice you chose mostly negative tweets - I certainly didn't see MY tweet about the performance on your little list.  Like, obviously I know you're a Vanessa fan (more than I am haha), but I'm just really confused as to why you would show us all the negative comments.
 

I didn't consciously pick the bad tweets. I only picked the ones that showed up at the top under the "Top Tweets," which were mostly talking about ATM. I only picked the ones that talked about IDWTBAB and Conan. Obviously there were people who enjoyed the performance, but it just so happens their (and yours, I guess) tweets weren't at the top. Next time I'll post a mix of tweets (or maybe none at all).

I don't understand that question at all - Ari doesn't sound like 10 small girls, nor do they sound like him.  She wanted both types of voices haha

Yeah, but his voice was over everyone else's. I thought the performance was okay. Nessa seemed nervous, but she was good when she got to the piano. My complaints are Ari and the girls' microphones not being loud enough. I hope the iTunes number for Bride goes up.
