in fact, whenever I mention Sara Bareilles to one of my friends, she always seems to think I'm referring to Sarah Blasko

I didn't think Sarah Blasko had much of a profile outside of Australia! Are
we talking about another Sara Bareilles fan from 'Down Under' or what?!

Peace

Aaron

Oh yeah, I'm from Australia (I thought I noted that under 'location', but apparently not :S)

Sweet! I'm on the Gold Coast as you can see by the location under my Av.

Sarah Blasko is such an underated Aussie artist ~ kinda like Melissa Talon!

So, she was really good. I was impressed. Strong voice. Not sure about the piano skills. She's got a great personality too. I haven't finished listening to the CD so that opinion is out. Live was great though. Stupid Hotel Cafe show she only did a few songs. My friends got videos:

Bottle It Up
Oh Darling
Gravity
Many The Miles
Vegas
Love Song

A lack of 'formal training' in this instance looks to have worked to Sara's
advantage; she doesn't seem to be persuing a particular musical style;
kind of like she's free to morph genres with this current material; I  it.

The only other artist I could compare her to at this point is Melissa Talon -
who I mentioned in my first reply to this thread. 'Gravity' is impressive :D

Peace

I am a little late but the two shows I went to were amazing. I went to the LA show with a friend who was not a fan so I wasn't there early for a good spot but it was kinda cool to see the whole picture. I did get Many The Miles. I really could have done without Marc, as an opener and during this song. I also, last minute decided to get Love Song.

Sunday, Sara was part of a radio show in Golden Gate Park called Now & Zen Fest. I got I Feel It All. (Feist Cover)

The radio station has Bottle It Up, up. From that link you can click on an interview and there are also some photos.

Did you guys pre-order your Between The Lines DVD? It comes out on the 28th. I almost forgot to. You also get a download of The City Live if you do. There's also a video of Bottle It Up on the order page. I saw me at the very end. Haha.

Let, if you have the free dl, could you send me the file please?
I wanted to pre-order but it says "US only".  :(
(I'm gonna order the dvd through my usual online store but it won't include the free download.)

I saw Sara at Alice Radio 97.3's Green Christmas. She was funny and great as ever. Set was way too short but what can you do with such a big line up.

Bottle It Up
Fairytale
Winter Song
Love Song
Gravity

Sara was on The Tonight Show 2 days ago.
I just watched the performance ("Gravity", the new single) and it was beautiful.
Apparently, she's nominated for 2 Grammy Awards, woohoo!

I know this thread is pretty much an old one, but I'm just into Sara Bareilles' music right now that I have to write on this one. :D

Sara Bareilles is one of the few artists who make it on the main stream. She's got a unique style and a wide range.

Now, I'm listening to her available new material. They sound pretty commercial, though I think she has not gave up her artistry in doing so. She just can write hit songs.

Floating on the sea, stars are watching me. Currents take me out, what will be will be.
