Okay Dear California is hard to ear on the Starbucks speakers but I got a few lines.

"dear California it's been nice to know ya
???? Will you miss me when I'm gone"

"you keep my memory, hope you keep me close"

"oh he loves me as I leave so I'm gonna go"

"your face is like a papercut to the heart"

"love me as I leave"

This song is really different than any of her others. It's upbeat, yet soft.

Okay guys and there are literally no way to record the songs. The songs are downloaded from corporate or come on CDs that are immediately thrown away and even if I got ahold of one it wouldn't work in venereal cd player. There is no audio jack on the music player either or microphone outlet. I don't have a video camera or anything that I can use to record the audio from the speakers in the store.

The opening lyrics are :

"as usual I'm in a tricky predicament,
Whether in my thoughts or on the roof sneaking a cigarette"

And then she sings the Dear California part. I'm almost positive she just says dear California once. This song is about a guy and it's probably about Stephen since he lived in San Francisco. That's what it kind of sounds like from the lyrics.

Also I'm fairly certain RoTR will sell at Starbucks. Starbucks does this with a lot of artists and then sells the album when it comes out. So that will be awesome.

If you have a laptop and a cam built into it, you could always listen to it a zillion times and post a cover of you singing it on youtube!   ;D

I think it's a good idea if we not try to get ghetto recordings from inside a starbucks and just wait the one month.

also, I'm totally pretending those posts with lyrics aren't there.
just saying.

Word.

Even if someone does manage to get a recording... I'm probably going to wait until I get a chance to listen to it PROPERLY.

Though, I may download the one that leaks a week or so before the release date.

Provided that happens.
