This kind of thing happens all the time. It could be several things, maybe they couldn't get the album mass produced how they wanted in time, maybe they wanted to release CD and vinyl on the same day, but most likely they just want more time to promote the album. It is what it is, we will all survive.  :)
For all you broken hearted lovers lost, go find another one. 'Cause you know time won't wait and you'll be late, white rabbits on the run...

Martin.

Aren't they a professional label? I mean, the album was done months ago. Things like that should have been sorted MONTHS ago. NOT last minute.

Yeah, like somebody said this happens all the time....It's not going to kill me to wait but had been looking forward to having the album in 3 weeks for so long..so yeah, a little bummed.  Just kinda worried about going to the LA show now because I don't want to hear the entire album played live before I've heard it?

That's right. Besides, I'm sure somebody will record the new songs, so maybe we will get to know all the songs in the album before it's even released. And that would make it waaaaaay less interesting.

I'm sure they have a valid reason for delaying the release, hopefully either Vanessa or Razor and Tie will update us as to the reason why.

Forgot about that, it is going to be very hard, but think I will have to avoid youtube for a bit

It would have been nice if she offered an explanation to the people who not only pre-ordered her album (myself included) but stood by her over the years (again, myself included) as to why they won't be getting her album/their purchase on the day they're expecting. It might "sound good" to her, but I'm kinda upset about this.

Or at least apologized and acknowledged that she has fans that will be bummed by this news, instead of just "Ooh it's pushed back, that sounds good!"   :-\

This is what pisses me off the most, the business and money making aspect taking precedence over the passionate fans who've been waiting to hear the music. She isn't going to have a big first week, or big numbers in general. It's already known this isn't a commercial album that's going to appeal to the masses. They could release it and promote it, which sounds like the better plan to me any way because people can go buy it as soon as they hear about it instead of waiting for something not yet released that they might forget about.

Sorry I'm venting so much frustration about this you guys.

Well, I am somewhat dissapointed that they moved this back an entire month. I wish they would have originally done this, as some others have said. But you know, this will only make the album more amazing when we hear it, because we've been waiting in such strong anticipation for months. So, there is that upside. Plus, signed vinyl?!?!?! Was waiting for the vinyl, but SIGNED! I am gonna do whatever it takes to get my hands on one of those, although that hopefully won't be too much! :) But the album will still be great. Also, in agreement, the shows WILL be kinda strange, but whatever. It's V, and we can't deny her.  ;D

I agree with Martin. I was literally counting down the days until the album's release, which kept getting closer and closer....then BAM, no album 'til July. We have a right to be pissed.

Happy about the signed vinyls, though. They make the situation a lot less sucky.

Also, maybe one person download the mp3, then post up for the rest of us to download until the physical album comes out? Just a thought. :)

wtf, so pissed off. feels like hell! but i'm surprised nobody has said it here... but maybe they had to redo the record to add "when in rome" and "dance tonight?"
well, but it still really disappointed me :(

Vanessa said earlier that the album always was suposed to have 10 tracks. So it seems unlikely that she will add two new tracks on the physical cd. I think the reason is that they want to give her more PR. But it can very well back fire on the sales.
