My favourite band of all time. =) I've been a fan of them for about five years now.

5 years... like when they were still in high school... uh huh.

I wasn't even born yet!

:roflmao:

I didn't know they'd been around for so long... :?:

Amy & Ben met in JrHigh, wrote songs all through school.
The did a couple shows at coffee houses.
January 3, 1999 they put out their first EP at a concert.
No one outside of Little Rock had any idea who they were till after Origin came out, November 4, 2000. Even then they were still very unknown. Wasnt until they got signed to Windup and got BMTL onto Daredevil in the fall of 2002 that the general public discovered them.

I've been really loving the old stuff lately (origin and back). I don't listen to Fallen much at all anymore, but the older stuff is still going strong. Still has the same feeling as when I first downloaded all of it :) Maybe it's just because the new stuff is everywhere. I even went back to prefering the p/v my immortal over the band version. It's a shame that they imploded :(

same here, its all over the radio now (the band version)... I definately prefer hearing the piano version cuz the other is on the radio constantly. Though I still really like that.

I still think the Full Band version owns all! (not to be confused with the radio Guitars Down Band Version)
Only thing it lacks is David's backing vocals like the Origin version, which were mixed down in the Fallen version.
(thanks kat lol)

The extra lyrics in the Piano/Vocal version are quite nice tho.

Thank you for that comment, Black Vulture. They've been a one-city band for awhile.

I like the full band My Immortal better.

Am I general public? o.O

I am just waiting to hear the sound the band Evanescence pulls out of their pot. I want to see the big difference. I think that she might feel there is a lot riding on it. AND there is. I just hope she gives it all that she has and this stuff can get over with about ben and cold and seether. It's a bunch of bad publicity  .. ack ack ack... <3 teh evanescence

You haven't heard M.I. on the radio? Well, I've only heard it twice, but still....it only got in the Top 10 (of VH1's Top 20 Countdown, anyway) last week, I belive, but I think the song's got a long way to go to reach Bring Me To Life's standards, if it can even get there.

Anybody seen the MI video? It reminds me of Rome for some reason. o.O

What are your top 3 favourite Evanescence songs? I like......
3. My Immortal
2. Tourniquet/Hello (I can't decide....)
1. Bring Me To Life (although I don't like listening to it as much anymore...their music makes me more depressed than I already am. o.O

Ok, I need some help here. I got tickets to see Ev in Reno on 2/15...  who is opening?

and I heard that Ben is playing on Avril's new cd.

I don't know.  I could possibly find out if you still want to know.  It should be on that big sign out by the freeway next to the Reno Hilton.   Are all the tickets sold out yet for the Reno show?  If not I might buy some now or in a week or two.

tylor

I went to the Reno Hilton yesterday and they said it was on default, unless that is a group's name; but I doubt it.  Since I'm going to try to get to SF if they(Edit: the film crew for the VC DVD) are going to film there this coming week I'm probably going to buy tickets the week after for the concert if it is not sold out by then.
